#1037 - More of Mount Mariglem Shots for Monday.
Heartfelt greetings to you all our dearest Hiveans around the globe on this bright Monday! May your day be filled with the spark of new beginnings. May your Monday be a canvas of possibilities that is painted with the colors of will and hope. Here's to a day that is as inspiring as the Hive journey we all share together.
Moving now to our daily shots featuring our hike journey to the summit of Mount Mariglem in Zambales which was an adventure and also a challenge of hiking during a typhoon. We began our trek at around five in the morning from the base area with our local guide who's still young, probably younger than me. The two hour hike was a mix of open grasslands and rocky portions and each step and rest stops brought us closer to the summit.
As we approached the top, the landscape transformed into a mystical scene where there was thick nimbus clouds blanket the sky and this is due to the ongoing typhoon then. Fog was all over around us which reduced the visibility to mere meters and there's also low flying clouds added to the ambiance and feeling as if we were standing at the edge of a dream😁.
Despite this limited visibility, we took some moments to rest, savoring the pleasures of a good break. My wife and I, along with our friends shared a small meal of eggs and water and also some candies that kept us energized midway of the uphill and downhill journey.
Photographs were taken a lot up there capturing the beauty of the moment even if there was a typhoon. The five of us including our guide, stood in the clouds while relaxing and wander around. Getting a unique experience of reaching the summit under these such dramatic conditions.
After almost an hour up there at the peak, we began our descent as the cold air was felt in our hands and noses. The journey down was as challenging as the climb up because of sporadic rain showers with the difficulty of navigating the slippery terrain too. The experience of standing atop Mount Mariglem and then got surrounded by the raw power of nature was a memory that would stay with us for a life time. It's like a reminder that sometimes that great adventures come with unexpected luck just like the embrace of a typhoon😂.
