#1019 - More of Cape Bojeador Lighthouse Shots for Saturday.

Happy Mend Day Saturday beautiful Hiveans! 🌾 Today, let’s honor the art of repair, not fixing the cruel world but by tending to our inner peace. Whether you’re thinking a thought, repotting a plant or simply airing out your spirit, this is you and this is your sacred pause so chill this weekend😉.

Moving on now to our daily shots, one late warm morning at the rugged Cape Bojeador in Burgos, Ilocos Norte where my family, a friend and I went to visit as a side trip to this iconic landmark during our two nights of stay in this region. The journey to the lighthouse was a scenic one, we had to walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse for about 200 meters under lush green trees then arrived at the lighthouse which is a sturdy tower with a distinctive red and white combination of colors and stood proud for a long time since the 1900s.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a local guide with a deep knowledge of the place. He welcomed us warmly and began our tour, he explained and told us with stories of the lighthouse's rich history that spanned over a century.

The guide led us through the lighthouse's different areas. He pointed out the intricate details of the architecture and its rooms or quarters, the stonework that had withstood the test of time and the signs of the earthquakes that had shaken the region and also leaving marks on the structure. We listened as if our imaginations paint vivid pictures of the past with the lighthouse's role in guiding ships safely.

Unfortunately, due to the recent earthquakes, us visitors were no longer allowed to climb to the top of the lighthouse for our safety, it was a disappointment but it did not lower our spirits. I just imagined the views that must have greeted those who once stood on top of the lighthouse.

As we explored, the guide also offered to take our photos and his skill with the camera capturing moments was like a pro, he's used to taking photos of visitors. He posed us against the lighthouse stairs, the sea, and the sky. My wife, son, and friend faces were full of joy and wonder. The guide with his deep knowledge and his warm welcome was a like a connection to their lighthouse rich history.
