#1007 - More Shots of National Museum of Arts for Wednesday.

Lovely Wednesday my fellowship Hiveans! Some or lots of us have seen a coconut tree or a bamboo bend in the wind and they don't break at all but adapts and sway. Our resilience is like that bamboo or coconut tree. Your strength is in the ability to adapt and grow. Have a Wednesday that is filled with the courage to face whatever comes our way.😉

Moving to our daily shots on a chill weekend when we went to visit the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila where outside there's already a long queue of eager visitors, all were drawn to the discover and relive the rich history of our country. The entrance here is also free which invited a diverse crowd to come and explore. As me and wife and our son step inside, the first sight that captures our attention is the grand display of Juan Luna's "Spoliarium." which is a monumental painting and the center of attraction. The canvas is depicting the aftermath of gladiator games where the defeated were being pulled away. We stand in awe while also capturing some shots with the painting which is indeed a masterpiece.

After that we continued our journey through the museum, we find ourselves in a maze of artistic art expressions with each turn. The halls are filled with the works of various artists and can't name them all, with their styles as diverse as the people who created them. We wander past portraits that seem to follow us with their eyes and abstract pieces. Each artwork is like a silent dialogue between the artist and the viewer to interpret.

We also pause before a series of sculptures with the skill and vision of the sculptors which were evident in each piece. We took our time and let the art speak to us.

The sheer diversity and volume of the collection is huge. From the classical to the contemporary. This museum is not just a repository of art and culture but is an entity that tells the story of our nation through the eyes of our local artists.

It's a wonderful experience seeing once again the National Museum of Fine Arts which is more than just a building and a place where art and life intersect in beautiful ways.

The museum looks huge and impressive and the paintings and artworks are very beautiful (even if some show cruel sceneries...).

True, the Spoliarium is huge and has a messy scene. I wonder how long Luna finished it.
