#995 - More Monochrome Street Scenes for Wednesday.
Beautiful Wednesday lovely Hiveans! A word of wisdom to never underestimate the power of a single step. Progress no matter how small is still called a progress, those in rehab who barely make a step but one does progress. Keep moving forward even one foot in front of the other and you'll be amazed at how far you can go, just keep walking😉. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, so take that step and then another and another and look behind how far you've made it already. Your destination is closer than you think.😊
Moving now to our daily shots and here's more monochrome in the streets. We're at Burnham Park's bicycle rental area in Baguio City which is a busy hub of energy and excitement with hundreds of bikes in various models and colors from different stalls. The scene was always a mix of ages but the majority are kids and teens. They zoom around the park with their laughters making a lively atmosphere. Families ride together while parents keep an eye on their little ones. There are also couples riding side by side. Even adults seek a break from their routines and ride bikes as well.
Burnham Park's walkways is where slow and steady footsteps and chill conversations are. Some walk fast for their daily exercise as the park provides the perfect backdrop for early workouts. Others stroll leisurely while taking in the sights and sounds in a relaxing manner. By the lake, those concrete benches are full with individuals and groups seeking comfort and relaxation. Some sit quietly watching the boats and water while others chat and laugh.
Here's another scene by the busy roadside in Baguio City wherein a highland jeepney with spare tire upboard parked and ready to pick up passengers to their destinations. A line of young men and some ladies were lining up behind the jeepney's open door in the back, each waiting for their turn to board. These jeepney is a symbol of public transport in the city and everywhere else in the country, a cheap ride for these working young class, most of whom are either heading to work or returning home after a long day.
Lastly at the lake in Burnham Park is this boat stall ready to offer a nice boat escape. A sign on a small tarp in the small table displays the affordable prices in pesos. The man in charge sits nearby, waiting for the next group of tourists eager to explore the lake. The man at the stall waits patiently, weekends is always busy all day.
