The Night Life Of KL - The Twin Brothers Glistening With Majestic Glamour
Hello, people of Hove. I hope you all are doing well.
Today, I will share the night life of tourists and the rich folk here in Kuala Lumpur where I, the measly peasant, and my friend roamed the semi-empty streets and can only look up and see all the insane aspects the people the enjoy.
Without further ado, let’s begin!
My brother, uncle, and friends decided to stay at a condo near Chinatown through Airbnb. So, we left the apartment at Mont Kiara at 8 pm sharp to see all the festivities there. The problem was that they had a hidden RM97 charge that we had no idea about. That did a huge blow to my wallet. So, we later decided to go instead of canceling the reservation since we only had 1 chance to stay out of my aunt's apartment and stay out as long as we had wanted.
We headed out and drove to my friend's house where he would pick up his necessities.
My brother and I waited in the garage. It took him about 30 minutes. I don't know what he picked up during that time since nothing on him looked "bothered."
During that time, I found a kitty here and it was absolutely adorable. For some reason it chose to go toward my brother who hates cats and dogs alike... his track record with animals is not great.
Later, we drove to a convenience store before we headed toward Ampang.
My friend looked for some edibles while I was browsing, trying to pick anything that I might fancy. He wanted to buy some gum while I was on the hunt for a different kind of food.
Moments later, I found a spicy food material that I never expected to find. Buldak sells chips now? Never have I ever even heard of chips made by Buldak back in Bangladesh. Moreover, it was 2x spicy, so I had to try it out with a hefty price nonetheless.
We couldn’t finish it in the first sitting since it turned out to be extremely hot after your 3rd chip. My brother took 1 and didn’t reach for seconds. My friend and his buddy took a few but also bowed out leaving me with half a bag full of them. I ate a bunch but later realised that I needed some water or other food to digest this spicy stuff.
The first 3D ad wall I saw here was of the game, which had finished 2 years ago. Splendid. Not to mention the building in the background that looks like I used a Snapchat filter for its outline.
Unfortunately, this was where my battery percentage was below 20%. This is why the pictures are a bit hazy and blurry. I tried to get some snapshots from my brother's phone.
In the last moments of the drive, before reaching the towers, my tourist-ass clicked a few pictures of the high-rise buildings. This one was of the Intercontinental. Hopefully, no dogs were here and no John Wick would show up here.
We crossed a tunnel network and soon into the area of the famed Petronas Towers. It glowed with a magnificent aura.
Then we entered KLCC, a ginormous mall that housed all the famous brands, but we know their real price from the Chinese manufacturers now... shame.
This was something my brother told about. They usually hold a water show in front of the Public bank but we were unlucky… they didn’t hold such shows today.
Walking around this gigantic scraper was surreal. The precise manner with which they crafted this was acute. We didn’t enter the towers today though since we didn’t bring the funds.
We roamed this area for another 10 minutes or so and found a lot of Banks that have their own skyscrapers and other buildings.
On the way back, we saw the Formula 1 Petronas car model hanging by the rails. Snapped a few shots here before moving on to the condor we were supposed to be on.
In the end, we decided to grab dinner from a nearby bar, I got this ethereal shot of the towers. Don’t ask me how I got this snap while I had only 10% of battery health. P.s: I still couldn’t finish the bag of Buldak chips.
