Today I want to talk to you and show you some photographic material I took on Holy Wednesday about one of Venezuela's most emblematic and moving religious traditions: the Procession of the Nazarene of Saint Paul at the Santa Teresa Church in Caracas.
I had the opportunity to document it for the first time this week, and I can assure you it was an incredible experience.
Every Holy Wednesday, the Venezuelan capital dresses in purple to accompany the Nazarene of Saint Paul as it parades through the streets near the Santa Teresa Church. This image, centuries old, depicts Jesus carrying the cross on his way to Calvary.

hoy quiero hablarles y mostrarles un material fotográfico que realice el día miércoles santo sobre una de las tradiciones religiosas más emblemáticas y conmovedoras de Venezuela: la Procesión del Nazareno de San Pablo en la iglesia Santa Teresa de Caracas.
La cual tuve la oportunidad de documentar por primera vez esta semana, y puedo asegurarles que fue una increíble experiencia.
Cada Miércoles Santo, la capital venezolana se viste de morado para acompañar al Nazareno de San Pablo en su recorrido por las calles cercanas a la Iglesia Santa Teresa. Esta imagen, con siglos de historia, representa a Jesús cargando la cruz camino al Calvario.
Lo que hace especial a esta procesión no es solo su antigüedad, sino la fervorosa devoción que despierta en miles de venezolanos. Los fieles, muchos vestidos de morado como señal de penitencia y agradecimiento, caminan junto al Nazareno ofreciendo oraciones, cantos y promesas. Se dice que la imagen tiene el poder de conceder milagros, especialmente relacionados con la salud.
