Bajada de los Palmeros de Chacao - Caracas Venezuela [ING/ESP]

Hello, my beautiful people of hiveblog. I know I've been a bit lost, but I'm back. This time I'm back with a series of photographs I took during the Descent of the Palmeros de Chacao, a tradition that takes place on the Saturday before Palm Sunday.

This tradition dates back approximately 100 years; this is my second year photographically documenting this incredible experience.

And it's one of the few times you can see so many cultural manifestations of Venezuela in one place.
Cultural festivals such as: La burriquita, San Juan, San Pedro, the boleros de caucagua, among others. These are just some of the cultural events that gather in Chacao to accompany the Palmeros on their journey. They begin at Sabas Nieves, one of the climbs to Cerro Ávila. The event ends at the Plaza de la Castellana, where a mass is celebrated to welcome the Palmeros.
It's an incredible experience. As I mentioned before, this is the second time I've done it, and I hope to do it for many more years.
This year it had a special meaning for me because I was able to give some photographs to two parishioners whose photos I took last year, and I wanted to give them that gift this year.

One of the women I gave the photographs to is the mother of the Palmeros, who leads the walk. The other woman is a 98-year-old parishioner who has been attending the activity for over 70 years, and it was gratifying for me to give them that small gift.

Hola que tal mi gente bonita de hiveblog se que he estado un poco perdido pero he vuelto en esta ocasión regreso con una serie de fotografías que realicé en la bajada de los Palmeros de Chacao tradición que se realiza el sábado antes del domingo de ramos.
Está tradición tiene data de hace aproximadamente 100 años, este es ya mi segundo año documentándo fotograficamente está experiencia tan increíble.
Y es que es una de las pocas veces en las que puedes ver a muchas manifestaciones culturales de Venezuela en un solo lugar.
Fiestas culturales como: La burriquita, San Juan, San Pedro, los boleros de caucagua entre otros. Son solo alguna de las manifestaciones culturales que se dan cita en Chacao para acompañar a los Palmeros en su recorrido que empieza desde sabas nieves, la cual es una de las subidas para el cerro el Ávila y el encuentro termina en la plaza de la castellana donde se celebra una misa para recibir a los Palmeros.
Es una experiencia increíble que como lo dije anteriormente es la segunda vez que lo hago y espero hacerla por muchos años más.
Este año tuvo un significado más especial para mí ya que pude entregarle unas fotografías a dos feligreses que les hice fotos el año pasado y quise hacerles ese regalo este año.

A una de las señoras que le regale las fotos es la mamá de los Palmeros es la que comanda la caminata. Y la otra señora es una feligres de 98 años de edad que tiene más de 70 años asistiendo a la actividad y fue gratificante para mi hacerles ese pequeño regalo
