Taro is a vegetable that holds a special place in my heart and is my one of the favorite vegetable I eat the most. Its unique taste make it one of my absolute favorites. Taro vegetable is not found in every continent or many countries are lacking this, thanks we have in Pakistan but only in cold times.
Taro is more commonly found during the winter season. Unfortunately, due to the hot weather we are currently missing this vegetable, taro is not easily found in the vegetable market these days but they are more available in winter times.
This delightful vegetable is small in size and having a hairy outer skin. Before cooking and using taro in the dishes, it is necessary to peel off this hairy layer because its more sour. There are various ways to cook and enjoy taro, including traditional and cultural methods.
One of the most delightful ways to prepare taro is by making a dish called "Salan." To create this dish, taro is cooked in a tomato paste, which has excellent taste. Also the other way is to make curry of it which brings more in taste.
Not only is taro incredibly delicious, but it also offers many health benefits. If this vegetable is used properly in our diet it will give your body much benefit in all aspect. Here are some notable benefits that taro provides:
