Light and color are closely related to one another, especially because color is not a property of light itself, but rather of the objects we see, since without light there is no color.

When we see an object of a certain color, it is because it absorbs the wavelengths of white light that are associated with that color. When we see an object, for example, as green, it is because it reflects light of this wavelength, which our brain interprets as green.

Thus, in this exhibit at the science museum, you can see how the light on this white wall can act as if it were a beautiful, colorful work of art. This is how my daughter looks, amazed and appreciative of this exhibit. This specific room showcases color, its history, and the evolution of technology to make our cell phones, televisions, and devices in general display color.

VERSION EN ESPAÑOL

Las luces y colores están muy relacionados el uno con la otra y mas aun por el hecho que el color no es una propiedad de la luz y no de los cuerpos que vemos ya que sin luz no hay color.

Al ver un objeto de un color determinado es por que el objeto absorbe las longitudes de onda de la luz blanca que están relacionado con ese color y al ver un objeto por ejemplo verde es por que este objeto refleja la luz de esta longitud de onda que nuestro cerebro interpreta como el color verde.

Es así que en esta exposición en el museo de ciencia se ve como la luz en esta pared blanca, puede hacer como si fuera una bella obra de arte colorida. As se ve mi hija que muestra asombrada y aprecia esta exposición. Esta sala en especifico muestra el color, su historia y la evolución de la tecnología para hacer que nuestro celulares, televisores y aparatos en general muestren el color.
