Birds are a symbol of the freedom we yearn for; they are one of the reasons why humankind longed to fly and tried for decades until finally achieving it. Birds, with their beauty like jewels soaring through the sky, allow us to see the beauty of the world, lifting us from the grayness in which it currently finds itself.
To learn more about these beautiful birds, there's an aviary in Parque del Este where you can see them up close. There's also a panel with summarized information about each species, so your children can learn more about them.
The bird in the photo is a Green Toucanet, whose scientific name is Aulacorhynchus sulcatus. It's found in the cloud forests of Venezuela (Cordillera de la Costa and Andes), and its diet consists mainly of fruits, insects, and eggs.

Las aves son el símbolo de la libertad que deseamos, es una de las razones por la cual el hombre deseo volar y lo intento por décadas hasta conseguirlo. Las aves con su belleza que es como si fueran joyas que surcan el cielo nos hacen ver la belleza del mundo sacándonos del estado gris en que se encuentra el mundo actualmente
Para poder aprender mas de estas hermosas aves, en el parque del este hay un aviario donde podemos verlos de cerca y hay un panel con información resumida de la especie, así nuestros niños pueden aprender mas de cada uno de las aves.
El ave de la foto es un comunmente llamado Tucancito Verde cuyo nombre cientifico Nombre científico Aulacorhynchus sulcatus. Su ubicacion es en Selvas nubladas de Venezuela (Cordillera de la Costa y Andes), su dieta es principalmente frutas, insectos y huevos.

Birds are elusive animals, although it's a shame to have to keep them locked up like this while other human beings who should be imprisoned, given the evidence of their crimes in certain files from someone on a famous island, are not. If this sacrifice is so that new generations learn from birds and take care of them and their habitats, it's worth it.
