Back to work after a few days of rest to forget a little what happened in Venezuela, although watching with concern that another fuse could be lit in the Middle East and bring a fire bigger than the West thinks.

Venezuela is a land of contrasts, full of riches coveted by empires of the East and West, yet this wealth has not been reflected in the lives of its citizens.

Even so, Venezuela has a history of struggle, having defeated the Spanish Empire, the largest of its time. The indigenous population that lived in Venezuela before the arrival of the Spanish was fiercely determined and fought back before being defeated. One of these groups was the Caracas Indians, who lived on the great mountain now known as El Ávila, called Waraira Repano by the indigenous people. This mural, a mosaic, is a tribute to Guaicaipuro, who, although originally belonging to the Teques tribe, became the central figure of the indigenous resistance by leading a powerful coalition of tribes (including the Caracas, Toromaimas, Tarmas, and Mariches) to confront the Spanish conquistadors in the Caracas Valley.

This mural is located almost at the end of Andres Bello Avenue near the Sambil La Candelaria shopping center.

Devuelta al trabajo después de unos días de descanso para olvidar un poco lo acontecido en Venezuela aunque viendo con inquietud que otra mecha puede prenderse en oriente medio y traer un incendio mas grande que occidente piensa.

Venezuela es una tierra de contrastes, llena de riquezas cuyas riquezas son codiciadas por los imperios de oriente y occidente, y aun con esa riqueza no se a reflejado en la vida de los ciudadanos.

Aun así Venezuela tiene una historia de lucha, venciendo a el imperio español el mas grande de la época y la población autóctona que vivía en Venezuela antes de la llegada de los españoles, era muy aguerrida y dieron batalla antes de caer vencido. Una de esos grupos era los indios caracas que Vivian en la gran montaña ahora conocida como montaña del avila, llamada por los indígenas como era llamada Waraira Repano, y este mural un mosaico es un homenaje a Guaicaipuro que aun cuando pertenecía originalmente a la tribu de los Teques, se convirtió en la figura central de la resistencia indígena al liderar una poderosa coalición de tribus (incluyendo a los Caracas, Toromaimas, Tarmas y Mariches) para enfrentar a los conquistadores españoles en el valle de Caracas.

Este mural esta por casi al final de la avenida Andrés bello cerca del Sambil la candelaria.
