Como saben, soy muy apegada a mi sobrina Antonella, mi "loquis" de la pradera. Asi que cuando me pidió ayuda con su maqueta para el cierre de su proyecto, no pude negarme.

Esta maqueta trata de la Era Mesoproterozoica, un periodo esencial en la historia geológica y biológica de nuestro planeta. Durante esta era, predominaban organismos unicelulares como bacterias y algas, que fueron cruciales para entender la evolución de la vida en la Tierra. Algo muy interesante y fue increíble ver cómo Antonella se emocionaba al aprender sobre estos pequeños pero poderosos seres.

Después de que mi sobrina me comentó lo anterior, nos pusimos a investigar un poco más para poder crear su maqueta. Utilizamos varios materiales de reciclaje como cartón y anime, entre otros.

Les cuento que elaborar esta maqueta fue un poco complejo y tardamos dos días, ya que teníamos que esperar a que el pegamento y la pintura secaran antes de continuar con el siguiente paso. La piedra principal de la maqueta la elaboramos con papel higiénico y una mezcla de pegamento y agua. Este truco mi sobrina lo recordó de Alex de ArtAttack, un programa que veía en Disney Junior. El resultado final fue realmente hermoso. Mi sobrina estaba feliz y muy orgullosa por el trabajo que realizamos en equipo. Ver su sonrisa al presentar su maqueta fue una recompensa que no tiene precio. Como podrán notar en las imágenes, su felicidad era contagiosa y me llenó de alegría saber que habíamos creado algo tan lindo juntas.

As you know, I'm very close to my niece Antonella, my "loquis" of the prairie. So when she asked me for help with her model for the final project, I couldn't refuse.

This model is about the Mesoproterozoic Era, a pivotal period in the geological and biological history of our planet. During this era, single-celled organisms like bacteria and algae predominated, which were crucial to understanding the evolution of life on Earth. It was very interesting, and it was incredible to see how excited Antonella was to learn about these small but powerful beings.

After my niece told me about this, we started doing a little more research to create her model. We used various recycled materials like cardboard and foam, among others.

I'll tell you that making this model was a bit complicated and took us two days, as we had to wait for the glue and paint to dry before moving on to the next step. We made the main stone of the model out of toilet paper and a mixture of glue and water. My niece remembered this trick from Alex from ArtAttack, a show she watched on Disney Junior. It's amazing how educational programs can inspire creativity in little ones at home.

During the process, I tried to capture some special moments with photos, even though our hands were covered in glue and paint, and it was difficult to pick up the phone. But that didn't matter; the most important thing was enjoying quality time together, haha. We really enjoyed being together, and once again, we strengthened our bond while working on this project.

Once the first part was dry, we continued painting the rest of the model. While it dried, we created the bacteria and algae that the lake water would carry.

The end result was truly beautiful. My niece was happy and very proud of the teamwork we did. Seeing her smile when she presented her model was a priceless reward. As you can see in the images, her happiness was contagious, and it filled me with joy knowing we had created something so beautiful together.

This project was not only an opportunity to learn about the Mesoproterozoic Era, but also a reminder of how important it is to spend time with our loved ones and help them when they need it.
