I sqw it was only half an hour away, but too little time; Greece is on the to-explore list as well! ;)
You should, it is great, where I think that Europe is gorgeous, especially the coastline, from France to Greece. The North has its magic also, but for the old age, I would definitely move South.
I'm spoiled, since for me portuguese beaches are some of the best in Europe, especially the SW. Too bad for the cold water and rough sea, but love them still! :)
Never been to Portugal, but probably will travel next year, to Braga, which is NE. Will definitely need to visit the coast in the South, maybe to a roadtrip from Faro to Lisbon.
Beaches in Faro and whereabouts are beautiful, just too crowded for me most of the time. Once you see them... you'll know what I mean! 😉
