The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
(Edited)
Consistently among the top three birds I encounter are Great Tits. And it's not just because of the feeder outside my window, where they've practically obtained permanent residency. I also walk in the city park quite often — and there is truly no shortage of tits there, of many different species.
But if we're talking about the most common one in these parts, it's definitely the Great Tit.
It seems to me that they all have distinct personalities, despite their rather classic appearance. At least in terms of behavior. Some of them, unlike most of their kin, act noticeably bolder, cheekier — sometimes even openly provocative. Perhaps I'm just imagining it. But I like to think that I really do notice the difference.
This is a story about three tits. Of course, they were shot in different places and at different times, but I remember them precisely because of their behavior.

I dubbed the first one The Good.
She would fly up to the feeder, quietly pull out sunflower seeds — one at a time — never made a fuss, and allowed me to frame her from quite close. In short, she behaved perfectly well. One might even say, with a certain elegance.

You see, my friend, there are two kinds of beings in this world: those who live in the frame, and those who chase the frame. You chase.
I called the second one The Bad.
In fact, she didn't do anything bad at all, but her behavior seemed rather suspicious. During my walk, she simply followed me, hopping from branch to branch — silently, and never coming too close. At some point I managed to capture her, and it seemed to me that she was somehow mocking me. Smirking quietly into her little beak.

When I'm paid, I always see the job through.
And the third tit — well, that's a story of its own. The Ugly.
I shot her on the perch of a nest box. I don't know whether it was her home or someone else's. But she looked completely intimidating: ruffled feathers, missing patches of plumage, some broken talons. Her whole posture seemed to express a complete readiness to attack. And that look… my hands were actually trembling a little when I took the shot.

When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk.
So that's the story of three tits, inspired by a famous film. The quotes under the photos, by the way, really do belong to the characters of that movie — although I took some creative liberties.
Thank you for stopping by! 🤠

!BEER
Thanks man 😌 this movie is in my personal top films of all time 😊
...
Agree on it. NB - would love to check your full list one day, just for curiocity. Maybe you decide to take time and put it down?.. Tho I am not hungry for the best pieces of cinema art, personally - in recent years my cinema capacity became pretty very low !LOL !PIZZA
Easy 😊 I have a public list on IMDb with every movie and series I've ever watched, ranked from best to worst (10/10 = the best of all time). Hope you find something you like. 🙂
...
o! nice - i will take time to dive into it.
Chat noir chat blanc / Deadman / Breaking bad / Better call Saul / Inception / Firefly / Bladerunner 2049 / Memento / Shawshank redemption / Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind / Aliens / Terminator 2 / Amelie / The Deer Hunter (was my absolute fave in teens). Tho I cant say I'd love to re-watch all of them many times.
Casablanca is on my list, as well as Morocco (1930). I might also watch 'the Shining' and 'One Flew Over Coocoo Nest' one day.... but not sure.
Recommendations part now xD
Have you seen 'The World's End (2013) — in Russian translation turned into 'Армагеддец' - I highly recommend this less known gem. Also, 'Russian Doll' (1st season) and 'Nirvana in fire' ('Список Ланъя' in Russian).
Didnt see in your list 'Brazil' by Terry Gilliam / Silo / Chungking Express / Sorcerer (1977) / Midnight in Paris (2011) / Chinatown (1974) / Good Omens (season 1) / Bin-jip (2004; 'Пустой дом' in Russian) - all those are great movies. 'The Girl with Dragon Tattoo' (in original swedish version) also among my faves, tho I cant state its a great movie - just among my faves (as I am a fan of the Millenium series).
The World's End is on my list, but out of that Edgar Wright trilogy, I enjoyed Hot Fuzz the most as a comedy.
Russian Doll is on my watchlist, I'll get to it someday. And I've never heard of Nirvana in Fire before, so thank you, I'll definitely check it out!
I've seen Brazil, Silo, Chungking Express, Midnight in Paris, Chinatown, and Good Omens — they're all on my list. Among them, the Wong Kar-wai and Roman Polanski films are the obvious favorites. Sorcerer and Bin-jip are on my watchlist, waiting for their turn 😊
And yeah, the Millennium series is really good.
...
'Nirvana in Fire' is a long (damn 58 pieces) Chinese historical serial - I dont watch such stuff generally - but this one (was a family deal) turned out really good. If you'd like to dilute your stuff with this fragnance of history, imperial China ceremonies and palace intrigues, tense victory of good over evil and justice served included - you will enjoy the time spent.
So, most of this is not news for you. (I did not scroll to the end of your list). Good!
