Hace unos días vi un video de TikTok sobre un nuevo espacio que casualmente era en uno de los lugares que tenemos mas cercanos de casa, cuando vi esta noticia me emocione mucho ya que me gustan mucho los reptiles aunque me dan algo de miedo, son muy hermosos igualmente, hoy me quise animar a visitar este sitio llamado Aqua Reptarium, ubicado dentro del Zoológico, hicimos estos planes para ir después de recoger a nuestro hijo a la escuela, fue una sorpresa para el ya que el no sabia nada sobre este nuevo espacio dentro del Zoo, entonces llegamos y pagamos la entrada al zoológico que cuesta menos de $1 y para entrar a Aqua reptarium se pagan $2 por persona y los niños entran por menos de un dólar, me sorprendió lo económico que fue, además de que fue un buen día para visitar ya que no había mucha gente hoy por ser día de semana, fue genial ver todos estos animales tan cerca, nunca había estado tan cerca de una serpiente y pude apreciar aun mas su belleza, fue un día increíble y estamos muy contentos por salir un poco de la rutina.

A few days ago I saw a TikTok video about a new space that happened to be in one of the places we have closer to home, when I saw this news I got very excited because I like reptiles even though they scare me, they are very beautiful anyway, today I wanted to visit this place called Aqua Reptarium, located inside the Zoo, we made these plans to go after picking up our son to school, it was a surprise for him because he did not know anything about this new space inside the Zoo, so we arrived and paid the entrance fee to the zoo which costs less than $1 and to enter Aqua reptarium you pay $2 per person and children enter for less than a dollar, I was surprised how economical it was, besides it was a good day to visit since there were not many people today because it was a weekday, it was great to see all these animals so close, I had never been so close to a snake and I could appreciate even more its beauty, it was an incredible day and we are very happy to get out of the routine a little bit.
A penas entras al Zoológico y se puede ver la enorme estructura en forma de serpiente, se ve super increíble y fuimos con mucha emoción, la cabeza de serpiente verde es la entrada y la amarilla es la salida, cerca de la entrada habían unos hermosos suricatos nunca los había visto mas que en documentales y son demasiado tiernos, de verdad eran hermosos, habían unos acostados boca arriba parecían muertos en la foto jajajaja pero créanme que estaban bien, solo estaban haciendo algunas acrobacias jaja, LOS AMO!
As soon as you enter the Zoo you can see the huge structure in the shape of a snake, it looks super amazing and we went with great excitement, the green snake head is the entrance and the yellow is the exit, near the entrance there were some beautiful meerkats I had never seen them but in documentaries and they are too cute, they were really beautiful, there were some lying on their backs, looked dead in the picture hahahaha but believe me they were fine, they were just doing some acrobatics haha, I LOVE THEM!
Pagamos la entrada y al ingresar vimos un túnel con luces led, era bellísimo nos tomamos unas fotos rápidas porque mi hijo estaba impaciente por entrar y ver a los animales, al entrar encontramos un amplio espacio con muchas vitrinas donde habían diferentes tipos de serpientes, también habían tortugas, sapos, camaleones, lagartos, estuvimos viendo uno por uno, algunos eran bastante difíciles de ver pues se camuflajeaban muy bien entre las ramas.
We paid the entrance fee and upon entering we saw a tunnel with LED lights, it was beautiful, we took some quick pictures because my son was impatient to enter and see the animals, upon entering we found a large space with many showcases where there were different types of snakes, there were also turtles, toads, chameleons, lizards, we were watching one by one, some were quite difficult to see because they camouflaged very well among the branches.
Una de las serpientes que más llamo mi atención fue esta serpiente tornasol, no sé si la fotografía le haga justicia pero créanme que es HERMOSA literalmente es tornasol, podías verla marrón y a la vez un tono morado/lila muy perfecto, realmente impresionante, además vi como sacaba su lengua y me acerque mucho, no podía creer que estaba viendo esta belleza de la naturaleza tan cerca.
One of the snakes that caught my attention was this litmus snake, I don't know if the picture does it justice but believe me it is BEAUTIFUL, it is literally litmus, you could see it brown and at the same time a very perfect purple/lilac tone, really impressive, I also saw how it was sticking out its tongue and I got very close, I couldn't believe I was seeing this beauty of nature so close.
Había una vitrina que era enorme y como les mencione, las serpientes se confunden mucho con el paisaje, pero estas dos no se confundían para nada, pues eran enormes, extremadamente largas y anchas, me quede muy impresionada.
There was a display case that was huge and as I mentioned, snakes blend in with the scenery, but these two did not blend in at all, as they were huge, extremely long and wide, I was very impressed.
Algo que me dio PAVOR fue ver las tarántulas, las arañas en general son una de mi mayor fobia y verla tan cerca para fue muy fuerte, mi hijo también se asustó jajaja vimos diferentes sapos y ranas pero este fue el único que se dejó fotografiar, también habían tortugas de agua y tortugas de tierra, ambas muy hermosas, aunque el lugar no es TAN grande, si duramos algunas horas dentro pues estábamos leyendo y detallando cada criatura que pudimos ver, me impresiono muchísimo ver los camaleones, eran muy chiquititos pero nunca había visto uno en persona, la forma en la que se mueven es espectacular y además son muy tiernos.
I was terrified to see the tarantulas, spiders in general are one of my biggest phobias and seeing them so close was very hard, my son also got scared hahaha we saw different toads and frogs but this was the only one that let himself be photographed, there were also water turtles and land turtles, both very beautiful, although the place is not THAT big, we did last a few hours inside because we were reading and detailing every creature we could see, I was very impressed to see the chameleons, they were very tiny but I had never seen one in person, the way they move is spectacular and they are also very cute.
Y aquí van algunas de mis fotos favoritas, estos reptiles si que querían posar, las fotos salieron a mi parecer muy lindas y con mucho detalle, por eso son la mas geniales de este post.

Después de pasar un rato viendo todos estos reptiles, llego la hora de irnos, al pasar por la salida te consigues un túnel que tiene lucecitas brillantes y a la vez simula el interior de la boca de una serpiente igual que en la entrada y afuera tienes un espacio con una decoración muy bonita para tomar fotografías, la pasamos muy bien y además distrajimos un poco la mente después de tanto trabajo, me gusto mucho este lugar y volvería a ir encantada.
Fueron muy amables con nosotros los trabajadores de allí, además de que es una idea super económica para salir de la rutina y además aprender un poco mas sobre los reptiles.
After spending some time watching all these reptiles, it was time to go, when you go through the exit you get a tunnel that has bright lights and at the same time simulates the inside of the mouth of a snake just like at the entrance and outside you have a space with a very nice decoration to take pictures, we had a great time and also distracted the mind a little after so much work, I really liked this place and I would go again delighted.
The workers there were very kind to us, plus it is a super economical idea to get out of the routine and also learn a little more about reptiles.
Nuestra aventura no acabo allí pues mi hijo quería ir a ver a los monos y las guacamayas, pero nuestra visita a estos dos fueron bastante rápidas, hoy los monos estaban mas rebelde de lo normal le robaron una muñeca a una niña y uno intento arrebatarme el celular jajajaja.
Our adventure did not end there because my son wanted to go to see the monkeys and the macaws, but our visit to these two were quite fast, today the monkeys were more rebellious than usual they stole a doll from a girl and one tried to snatch my cell phone hahahaha.
