Monomad - Skippers Butterfly
This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
On today's post, I want to share some interesting insect photos, specifically a species of Skippers butterfly. The skipper butterfly itself has several color variants & the one I am sharing here has a dominant brown or dark color and is even known as the "dark small-branded swift".
Scientifically, this butterfly is called Pelopidas mathias, which is a species of butterfly in the Hesperiidae family. In terms of other characteristics, skipper butterflies are certainly a little different from butterflies in general, which have wings that are larger than their bodies, while skipper butterflies tend to be the opposite, namely having a larger body size than other butterflies. And I have uploaded some photos of the skipper butterflies I mean below, hopefully one of them will catch your attention :)
