Monomad - Gold-dust weevil
This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
Today at around 16.35 WIB, my first child and I went for a walk to the riverbank area while watching several friends fishing there. If they enjoy fishing, I also enjoy using my favorite macro lens to search for interesting insects.
And this time I found a Gold-dust weevil, which is a type of leaf-destroying beetle from the Curculionidae family. As the name suggests, this beetle is covered in something that resembles dust on almost its entire body. So when we touch it it will feel like we are touching dust or powder.
And when this beetle is no longer covered in yellow dust, the color of its skin will look greener and not as attractive as before when something like dust was still stuck to its body. And some photos of the Gold-dust weevil I mean have been uploaded below.

What a cute beetle and curiously its body resembles that of the leaf, in terms of the small hairs that are visible both on the leaf and on the body of the beetle. Excellent photos!
