Monomad - Carpenter Bee (Male)

This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge

On today's Monomad challenge I want back to share some interesting macro shots of insects. And the insect object is a species of carpenter bee or better known by the scientific name Xylocopa latipes. These carpenter bees are not difficult to find in Southeast Asia, especially on the islands of Sumatra and Aceh, Indonesia. Its habitat is of course in forests or thickets where there are many flowering wild plants because in the morning these bees often appear on the flowers of wild plants to look for nectar.

Meanwhile, his residence or house is wood that has started to rot slightly, then he makes a hole or digs to make a tunnel to become his nest. And some of the photos of carpenter bees that I share are male, which is indicated by the yellow color on the back or right behind the head. Also, the males are slightly smaller than the females, so hopefully I can photograph the females next time too. :)
