FungiFriday - Calvatia craniiformis & Trametes pubescens
This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw
Today I want to share two mushroom findings, I found these two types of mushrooms some time ago. The first mushroom is Calvatia craniiformis, a species of puffball mushroom in the Agaricaceae family, also known as the "skull-shaped puffball".
As the name implies, this mushroom at first glance is shaped like a skull. And when I found it, the mushroom was almost wilted and you could see it in the brownish color of the mushroom.
And the second mushroom is Trametes pubescens. Mushrooms from the Polyporaceae family that I found growing on weathered wood branches. During the dry season like now in my area, the Trametes pubescens mushroom is one of the mushroom species that can survive when other types of mushrooms are rarely seen.
