3 Species of Sumatran Damselfy, Indonesia

Yesterday I took the time to go back to hunting for insects in the bush. The area I'm aiming for is the swamp fringe bushes because this time I intend to hunt Damselfly. The reason I chose the hunting location on the outskirts of the swamp is because the damselfly will not be far from the location of the puddle. As is known if dragonflies and damselfly love water, they even lay their eggs water.

Well, on yesterday's insect hunt, I managed to get several species of damselfly in that location. There are at least three species that I managed to capture photos of. Among others are:

Ceriagrion rubiae, this species of damselfly belonging to the Coenagrionidae family has a very beautiful color combination, which is yellow on the body and a little red on the tail, plus the blue color of the eyes makes this damselfly look very attractive.

Then the Copera marginipes, the damselfly which is also known as the "yellow bush dart" belongs to the Platycnemididae family. As the name implies, this damselfly is yellow with a brownish black tail, and the spines on the legs are more prominent because they are longer than other types of damselfly.

And the last one is Ischnura senegalensis, or also damselfly known as "marsh bluetail" which is from the Coenagrionidae family. Of the two types of damselfly above, Ischnura senegalensis is easier to find. Not only around the outskirts of the swamp, this damselfly can often be found in the grass or also in the rice fields.

In terms of color, this damselfly has a blue color with a combination of several black lines. And because the color is the same as the color of the leaves or grass, this damselfly can often trick the human eye when taking a photo.
