Hello and welcome to the "Cycling around Israel". I enjoy exploring my country by photowalking and photocycling¹

Today I want to share my recent cycling trip two the beautiful park in Kiryat Ono. If you want to know more about the town visit Wikipedia.

The park is located in a southern part of the town.

While planning the trip I checked the map and satellite photos off the area. The park looked very interesting and promising to explore.
In reality the park is much more beautiful than the satellite photos. The most interesting feature is it's topography, lots of hills and mounds covered in grass and trees. This makes the landscape very interesting and beautiful. Reminds me of the green rolling hills of the Shire.

The name of the park is "Park Tsahal" which translates to "IDF park". IDF stands for Israel Defense Forces. Strangely I couldn't find anything that connects the park to the IDF.

A very beautiful park for walking and relaxing. A great find.
