Walking around Israel - Yom Kippur - 12k activity - My Actifit Report Card: October 5 2022

Hello and welcome to today's activity report¹

Today was Yom Kippur or Day of Atonement. If you want to know more about it visit Wikipedia.

For me it was a perfect day to walk around my hometown of Holon. I visited new places and because of the holiday it was a very quiet and relaxing morning.

As far as I know, this holiday is unique. In the early morning there were no cars or people out. One of the busiest highways in Israel was completely empty. Later people and children come out to play, walk and cycle around. It is quite a site to see the streets, roads and highways full of people and not speeding cars.

It is interesting to know if anywhere in the world there is a similar holiday.
