Hi guys...

Hoy, les contaré una travesía que marcó parte de mi comienzo por el gusto por las motos de una manera significativa. Como les comente en mi post de presentación acá en Hive, mi hermana es amante a los viajes, la montaña y las motocicletas. Gracias a su conexión con la comunidad motera en redes sociales, ha conocido a muchas personas con historias interesantes.

Today, I’m going to tell you about an adventure that played a big part in sparking my love for motorcycles in a meaningful way.

As I mentioned in my introduction post here on Hive, my sister is passionate about travel, the mountains, and motorcycles. Thanks to her connection with the biker community on social media, she’s met lots of people with interesting stories.

Aquí en Venezuela existen varios puntos de apoyo para moteros, tanto locales como extranjeros, que quieren emprender sus rutas con un poco más de seguridad y orientación.

Hace un tiempo, el líder de una de esas comunidades, se comunicó con mi hermana para que le brindara apoyo y hospedaje a este viajante colombiano, ya que él quería conocer un poco más de Venezuela en su paso por Sudamérica, mi hermana aceptó, y allí empezó la travesía.

Here in Venezuela, there are several support points for bikers—both locals and foreigners—who want to hit the road with a bit more safety and guidance.

Some time ago, the leader of one of those communities reached out to my sister to ask if she could offer support and a place to stay for a Colombian traveler who was passing through. He wanted to explore more of Venezuela as part of his South American journey. My sister agreed—and that’s how the adventure began.

🤠 La llegada al Llano Venezolano "Arrival in the Venezuelan Plains"

Conocimos al viajero, de verdad, una excelente persona, muy respetuosa, como buen motero por supuesto, quería una aventura llena de paisajes hermosos y así fue.

We met the traveler—truly a great person. Very respectful, and like any good biker, he was looking for an adventure filled with beautiful landscapes—and that’s exactly what he got.

El primer día se hospedó en nuestro hogar en Barinas, para que al siguiente día comenzara nuestro viaje hacia el estado Mérida/Venezuela.

On the first day, he stayed at our home in Barinas, so we could start our journey the next day toward Mérida, Venezuela.

🏍Comienza la travesía "The journey begins"

Muy temprano nos levantamos, y emprendimos el viaje a la ciudad de las montañas, el viajero, mi hermana, sus amigos y yo.

Uno de los momentos más emocionantes fue cuando el viajero le prestó su moto de alta cilindrada a mi hermana, permitiéndole conducirla en uno de los tramos. Para ella fue toda una experiencia.

We got up early and set off for the city of the mountains—the traveler, my sister, her friends, and me.

One of the most exciting moments was when the traveler lent my sister his high-powered motorcycle, letting her ride it on one of the stretches. It was quite an experience for her.

En el camino hicimos varias paradas, para comer, descansar y tomar algunas fotos; ya que el paisaje es muy hermoso de ver, hay mucha vegetación, valles inmensos, un clima frío que provoca tomar chocolate caliente.

Along the way, we made several stops to eat, rest, and take some photos—since the scenery is absolutely stunning. There’s lots of greenery, vast valleys, and a chilly climate that just calls for hot chocolate.

En definitiva hay mucho por ver y conocer en este estado Merideño, su geografía hace de este un lugar único, y por supuesto todos los turistas que vienen a nuestro país se van encantados visitando este pedacito de la cordillera andina.

Son muchos más los lugares que visitamos en estos 2 días de ruta, así que, por ahora, este es el inicio de la historia; estén atentos para la parte II.

There’s definitely a lot to see and discover in Mérida. Its geography makes it a unique place, and of course, all the tourists who come to our country leave enchanted after visiting this little part of the Andes mountain range.

We visited many more places during these two days on the road, so for now, this is just the beginning of the story—stay tuned for part II!
