Reconnecting with nature

avatar

Recently I went for a few days to the village where I grew up for a reunion with family and had enough time to take a quick stroll through the forest and down to the local river.

In a world where we are constantly surrounded by screens, technology and loud noise, getting back to nature is as needed as it is enjoyable. Lately I have been contemplating a lot about buying land somewhere in the wild, growing my own food and being completely self-sustainable. The world is getting crazier by the day, and in order to blend in you have to follow the rules of those who don't care about protecting mother earth. I was never much the one who would follow the masses though.

Being active in nature, eating fresh fruits and vegetables and enjoying the peace and quiet of the surroundings is a great booster of physical, mental and spiritual health. It gives the chance of mindful living and not constantly looking for a new stimulation.

It's a hard choice, to leave behind all the addictions and rush of modern world and move back to the wilderness. In that case, the best thing and something I would do is split my time between off-grid living and being in a big city or travelling. It's so easy to find a remote job today which gives you plenty of opportunities to choose what you want to do in life and where you want to live.

It all comes down to your vision of the future.

Well the easy option would be somewhere in the mountains of Serbia, since I live here. But I will follow political situations and also maybe getting new inspirations about possibly going somewhere abroad.
