Exploring the deep, autumnal forest

Autumn is a special time of the year you shouldn't miss by spending time indoors. I know it's tempting to get cozy blankets and chill out with a good book, and you can certainly do that as well, but don't forget to go outside every day and connect with your surroundings. In autumn, feelings are heightened, there's a sense of letting go in the air. The earth is teaching us that in order for new things to grow, old stuff needs to give its place. It's a part of a never-ending cycle of life that includes us as well.

Trees are especially captivating in their autumn beauty, leaves are changing color and struggling to hang on until eventually they let go. For a photographer, it's important to use this short period when the leaves turn to yellow/orange and before they go brown and fall down.

Here in the forest, this window of opportunity is just starting so I'll make sure to revisit it almost every day. You know I am primarily a street photographer, but lately I feel more and more called to reconnect with nature and take regular breaks from the urban life.

Except the few, I've taken these photos last week in the early morning. It depends on the position of the forest relative to the sun, but usually they are most beautiful early in the morning, especially if there is a bit of mist floating around. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little escape into wilderness. Photos that include me are taken with a tripod.

These pictures are great. In autumn, every day becomes more beautiful than before. The opportunity should not be missed. The yellowing of the trees has started here as well
