Capturing Fleeting Moments in Street Photography
Welcome back for more street photography, Hivers! It's crazy how a little bit of discipline can turn things around. Few weeks ago I couldn't get myself to complete a successful photo walk for the life of me. There was some mental and creative block that prevented me from finding good images and staying motivated. But after I decided to give it another chance and be serious about it again, everything changed. I now see opportunities around me and easily find interesting things to photograph.
Even when it's cloudy outside and I have to go back to other techniques, it flows much more smoothly. In these conditions which were in the past two days, I normally get in closer to people and taking candid portraits. It's where the genre of street photography started before the more visual style that involves playing with lights and shadows became popular.
But I never chased after what's popular anyways. At some point during 2019-2020 I was quite in focus on IG and my work was seen/shared by a lot of photographers from the genre. But I refused to follow trends and make meaningless photographs just for likes and engagement and so my account was slowly left in the margins. It's fine for me, I only do the work I am passionate about.
I was experimenting with a different editing these days as you might notice. I always strive to create the ultimate visual style for my photos although my taste changes over time as I grow. I ended up creating this preset which might be a bit too cool, but I'll continue tweaking it in the upcoming collections.
Photos taken with Fuji X-Pro2 and 35mm F/2 lens. I hope you enjoy this little photo story from Belgrade. :)
Good afternoon. After reading your wonderful blog, I'm starting to see small details of my city's everyday life. It turns out that it is very interesting and informative, there are many beautiful people and their life in motion, this is a kind of masterpiece for a person who is passionate about photography. I want to thank you very much and wish you creative success.
Yes, we are often too busy and in our mind to notice small details and interesting moments of everyday life. Street photography for sure brings me closer to living in the present moment. :) Glad my posts are helpful!

Haha yes, we can't always rely on motivation - there needs to be discipline regardless. :) Thanks!
Motivation is a tricky one, not always there when you need it:D

Really nice set of images, I really like the one with the gentleman reading the paper.
