A Photographic Tale of Two Rivers | 15 Rolls in 30 Days - #3

Next episode of the challenge is here, photography lovers. :) I trust you will enjoy this one. One of the goals is to explore new areas of the city instead of always roaming the same streets so this time I decided to walk along the promenade and follow the two rivers, Sava and Danube.

Starting off near the Branko's bridge I hear the flock of seagulls screeching and flying in circles just above the water. I don't see the source of their hectic behavior but I go towards them hoping to get some images. Unfortunately, there are no stairs that lead to the water on this particular spot and the river is flooding over the paths so I can't go down and the bird photos are just not that exciting captured from above. Eventually few of them fly towards another area where I have access and they take seats at the top of stone posts sitting in the water.

From there I follow the river and get around the Kalemegdan park, at the confluence of two rivers - here Sava ends and gives place to Danube. Fortress is interesting to photograph from this perspective, it stands high and strong in its stone walls.

I was planning to finish my journey here, but one thing lead me to another, and I continued following the path and eventually I had no will of my own anymore - the river kept pulling me towards itself. The concrete path follows the river all the way (or at least that's what I thought) and I could watch swans and different birds frolic or meditate in the cold, blue water.

For a moment I forgot that we don't have the ocean - the vastness spread far in the horizon and the restless waters mimicked the tides of the sea. Dark clouds were leaning over the water, painting its dark, blue contours in the reflection.

I walked for kilometers until I had lost sense of where I am - another bridge appeared on the horizon and as I headed towards it - the path suddenly dropped. There was no going further. I left the river and entered the town, the bus stop leading downtown was nearby which meant the end of the day's trip. Photos taken with Fuji X-Pro2 + 35mm F/2 lens.

Here's a short reminder of the project challenge in case you missed it:
- Post 15 photo blogs in 30 days
- Show at least 10 photos per blog, no matter how good they are
- Act as if shooting the film camera, one roll (battery) per day, limited number of shots, minimal attention to reviewing images on the LCD in real time

It's like the pipes of an underwater factory.

Something like that, I don't know what is its purpose, maybe as a dock or something.

The wonders of nature is really incredible, I love all the whole scene, they're all pretty. I like those 5 sea docks sitting on the peaceful wave.
