RWASA - Plumber I Training

The RWASA conducted a training for plumber I last September 2022. Since the old management retire from their position, due to old age also and not capable to handle hard labor such survey to our source to the jungle, and so we hired two new plumbers.

We cannot afford to give them a minimum wages, we had a deal, that they will give their time half of everyday. RWASA will give them $3 of that half day and they agree as we hope that this rate will increase as soon as possible and RWASA is capable too.

Since I do have an experience of being a plumber for five years in our local water district, I do give them the basics or the Plumber I training.

We learn two way of basic installation of household piping. But we are more on mainline repair and maintenance.

After here, we had another 6 days of actual plumbing, repair on site. Then, RWASA has given them the certificate of complition and as a plumber in our association.

Until this day, this two plumber has a rate of $75 a month, half day every monday to friday. We truly hope to increase their rate because they are the front line on our water system.
