STREET ART #3 / Arte e historia arquitectónica (Mural sobre ladrillo)

Hoy traigo uno nuevo mural llene de color e historia arquitectónica de la Ciudad de Barranquilla. Si somos bien detallistas podemos observar que el lienzo usado para este mural, es un muro construido en ladrillos perfectamente entrelazados y que seguramente tiene muchos años ahí, parado frente a la inclemencia del sol, las largas temporadas de lluvia y los fuertes golpes del viento.

Y es que si algo caracteriza a la arquitectura de la Ciudad de Barranquilla son esos rígidos muros de ladrillo rojo (este tipo de ladrillos tienen 11 mil años de historia según la Wikipedia a la cual no entraremos en detalles en este post). Pues, este mural ha sido creado en un sector de la ciudad donde según los abuelos con los que he conversado, fue uno de los primeros barrios fundados y que hoy en día muchas de sus construcciones están protegidas por ser declarada Bien de Interés Cultural del ámbito Distrital.

No he encontrado data del autor o autores de este mural, pero su colorido y el cuidado de los detalles al respetar las zonas no cubiertas, no pasa desapercibido. Está ubicado frente a un parque Skate y sobre una calle muy transitada de la ciudad. Combina el arte y la arquitectura, creando un contraste que realza la historia cultural de la ciudad.

Sigo capturando obras de arte urbano para compartir con ustedes e inmortalizarlas en la blockchain, para que quede un registro fotográfico de este tipo de arte, que por sus características, no perduran en el tiempo. Un abrazo.

Today I bring a new mural filled with color and architectural history of the City of Barranquilla. If we are detail-oriented, we can observe that the canvas used for this mural is a wall built of perfectly interwoven bricks and that certainly has been there for many years, standing in front of the harshness of the sun, the long seasons of rain, and the strong winds.

And if something characterizes the architecture of the City of Barranquilla, it is those rigid red brick walls (this type of bricks have 11 thousand years of history according to Wikipedia, which we will not go into detail in this post). This mural has been created in a sector of the city where, according to the grandparents I have spoken to, it was one of the first neighborhoods founded and today many of its buildings are protected for being declared a District Cultural Heritage of Interest.

I have not found data on the author or authors of this mural, but its colorfulness and the care of the details in respecting the uncovered areas, does not go unnoticed. It is located in front of a Skate park and on a very busy street of the city. It combines art and architecture, creating a contrast that highlights the cultural history of the city.

I continue capturing urban art works to share with you and immortalize them on the blockchain, so that there is a photographic record of this type of art, which, due to its characteristics, do not last over time. A hug.
