El ritmo de la ciudad no se detiene. Las personas caminan en todas direcciones, cada una con su realidad distinta, objetivos y destinos diferentes. Muchos comparten pasiones y se reúnen en lugares comunes, mientras que otros se evitan y caminan en diferentes rumbos. Así es la vida, compleja y agitada para algunos, pero sencilla y plácida para otros. Cada uno se desplaza a la velocidad que desea. Mientras un grupo corre para encontrar un lugar, otros disfrutan de la sombra y de una interesante conversación.

Esta fotografía no es casual, la busqué después de ver el concurso de POBphotocontest de @friendlymoose. Por esa razón, decidí salir a la calle para buscar personas, sí, quería encontrar una escena donde las personas posaran despreocupadas. El lugar ya lo tenía en mente: la plaza La Paz en Barranquilla, un lugar transitado y con muy buenos lugares para descansar y conversar por un rato.

Muchas cosas pueden pasar por nuestra mente mientras observamos a otros andar. Podemos pensar, indagar o divagar en la dirección que llevan, incluso en cómo se sienten. Sus pasos, postura y mirada pueden decirnos mucho, aunque esto no nos revele nada en realidad. Puede ser un momento de distracción, solo escuchar el tráfico acelerado y el murmullo de la gente.

Esto es lo que intento expresar en la fotografía: el movimiento que nos da la vida. No soy fotógrafo, sólo intento dar lo mejor de mí y regalarles un poco de lo que puedo ver. Los invito a participar en esta iniciativa. Cualquier comentario será bienvenido. Un abrazo.

The rhythm of the city does not stop. People walk in all directions, each with different realities, different goals and destinations. Many share passions and gather in common places, while others avoid each other and walk in different directions. Such is life, complex and hectic for some, but simple and placid for others. Everyone moves at the speed they wish. While one group runs to find a place, others enjoy the shade and an interesting conversation.

This photograph is not accidental, I sought it out after seeing the POBphotocontest by @friendlymoose. For that reason, I decided to go out on the street to look for people, yes, I wanted to find a scene where people were posing carefree. The place I already had in mind: La Paz square in Barranquilla, a busy place with great places to rest and chat for a while.

Many things can go through our minds as we watch others walk. We can think, inquire or wander in the direction they are going, even in how they feel. Their steps, posture and gaze can tell us a lot, even if it doesn't really reveal anything to us. It can be a moment of distraction, just listening to the rushing traffic and the murmur of people.

This is what I try to express in photography: the movement that gives us life. I am not a photographer, I just try to give the best of me and give you a little of what I can see. I invite you to participate in this initiative. Any comment will be welcome. Best regards.
