VISITING "RESTINGA LAGOON" NATIONAL PARK. [ENG / ESP]
This tourist attraction is considered one of the most ecologically important on the island of Margarita, it is called "Laguna de la Restinga National Park" The natural beauty of this place is indescribable, my heart I jumped for joy upon entering this place, it is a delight to behold... the park's ecosystem is mainly characterized by large mangroves where it is specifically the habitat of 4 different species of them, and also of birds, some of which are in danger. of extinction. This place must be a testimony to the importance of the protection and conservation of our ecological spaces.
Upon entering the park we see that it has a large parking lot with adequate security, since the vehicles are very far from the entire road. We found a notice from Inparques about the protection of the site, additionally, it also mentions RAMSAR 1996 referring to the list of wetlands of international importance, this being one of them.
At the entrance we see some murals of the place built by plastic caps from soft drink or water bottles, and a little further on the pier at the beginning of the adventure... one of them forming the traditional Margarita parrot, the emblematic animal of the Nueva Esparta state.
As we continue along the path we continue with a pair of wooden docks where boats dock to load passengers to begin the magical journey that this represents. The boats are very colorful, I feel like they make a unique contrast with the place... there are many boats and they are all very well numbered. The mangroves in the background of all the photographs give emphasis, making a kind of site mark.
At the edge of the pier, at the beginning of it, you can see the beautiful living corals with quite vivid colors in the specific shape of flowers and stars. At first I thought it was dead and old, surrounded by algae and other marine products. But I was wrong, quite the opposite, hahaha.
On the other side of the dock there is also another dock, for the same purposes. I didn't really ask, but I think this fulfills the function of transporting people without congesting a dock, since on the other side there is a consolidated community.
Since I left on the boat and boarded it, I already felt like my body was in a condition of shock and excitement at the same time. I felt like everything was vibrating, it was probably the boat and the vibration was the engine and in my excitement I thought it was me... my smile never went away. The beginning of the trip in the lagoon marked a before and after, the energy, the vibe, the waves, everything was a fantastic combination.
After a few minutes on the boat, I was surrounded by mangroves and water... all with unique shapes, in different positions that created paths to enter and take internal tours. On this occasion the route was direct, without detours to internal routes.
Another visual delight is this view! It corresponds to the "Tetas de María Guevara" one of the four and also qualifies as one of the most important natural monuments on the island of Margarita. They refer to two twin hills, alluding to a woman, although some debate that one hill is larger than the other.
I have never been to the jungle, but, nevertheless, I have no doubt that it could look like this. No signal, no contact, just water. And the mangroves do not usually improve it, in this way they inspire some fear and as icing on the cake I can mention that our boat began to fail a little.
Already from the bow of the boat, I could see how we were arriving at our destination, and although it seems contradictory. We are still on Margarita Island, there are 1020 km in total which measures the entire island; However, we had to travel internally to reach the destination.
The dock is managed under the same concept, to disembark, although there is only one on this side. It is also monitored and restricted by Inparques, in fact maintaining certain rules within them, they do not allow taking natural properties of the park, such as starfish and horses.
Something that I loved and was able to detail on this pier, and in the rest of the mangroves on the way back, is the rustic formation of oysters that at some point grew and died on the site. Creating this beautiful illusion in all the bases of the dock. In this part of the lagoon the water is no longer green, it is a little brown perhaps due to the mud and natural waste on the shore.
When I finally set foot on land, I was able to witness an impressive animal. They were crabs that had one claw considerably larger than the other. They usually call it "Fiddler Crab" and its traditional habitat is precisely under the conditions of the mangroves, with mud or mud bottoms.
Upon arrival, I passed by some sales of textile, fashion, and home accessories... yes, homes like all of them made with useful material grown in the same territory. Showing the high creativity and forms of ingenuity that people maintain to generate income.
Like for example the mobiles made with the seashells of oysters, snails, chipichipis and any other seafood, as I mentioned, incredible, getting usefulness to a product that for some can become disposable... for others it is raw material.
Our point is now reached, and our temporary stay was on the seashore in one of these restaurants. Where the main dishes are seafood, fried fish, shrimp, octopus, oysters. In short my favorite...
I find it impressive how many oysters there were, and that they actually formed the blanket of sand on the seashore. Lots of very small chopped oyster residue, and I could actually sink my feet deep into it and there was still residue, I didn't touch sand, my feet were very easy to clean.
Este atractivo turístico se considera uno de los más importantes ecológicamente hablando en la isla de Margarita, tiene por nombre "Parque Nacional Laguna de la Restinga" La belleza natural de este lugar es indescriptible, mi corazón saltaba de la alegría al entrar a este sitio, es un deleite para la mirada... el ecosistema del parque se caracteriza mayormente por grandes manglares donde específicamente es el hábitat de 4 especies diferentes de ellos, y también de las aves, unas en peligro de extinción. Se debe ser testimonio de este lugar la importancia a la protección y conservación de nuestros espacios ecológicos.
Al entrar al parque observamos que cuenta con un estacionamiento amplio y con seguridad adecuada, ya que los vehículos quedan muy lejos de todo el camino. Encontramos un aviso, por parte Inparques acerca del resguardo del sitio, adicionalmente, también hace mención al RAMSAR 1996 refiriéndose a la lista de humedales de importancia internacional, siendo este uno de ellos.
En la entrada observamos algunos murales del lugar construidos por tapas plásticas de botellas de refrescos, o agua, y un poco más adelante el muelle de inicio de la aventura... uno de ellos formando la tradicional cotorra margariteña, el emblemático animal del estado Nueva Esparta.
Al seguir el camino continuamos con un par de muelles de madera donde atracan las embarcaciones para subir a los pasajeros para iniciar todo el mágico recorrido que este significa. Las embarcaciones son muy coloridas, siento que hacen un contraste único con el lugar... hay muchos barcos y todos muy bien enumeradas. Los manglares en el fondo de todas las fotografías hacen énfasis haciendo una especie de marca de sitio.
En el borde del muelle, al inicio de este, se pueden observar los hermosos corales vivos y con unos colores bastante vivos con forma específica de flores, estrellas. Al principio llegué a pensar que estaba muerta y vieja, rodeada por algas y otros productos marinos. Pero me equivoqué, todo lo contrario, jajaja.
Del otro lado del muelle también se encuentra otro muelle, para los mismos fines. Realmente no pregunte, pero creo que este cumple con la función de transportar personas sin congestionar un muelle, ya que del otro lado hay una comunidad consolidada.
Desde que salí en la embarcación, y la aborde, ya sentía como mi cuerpo estaba en una condición de shock y emoción al mismo tiempo. Sentía que todo vibraba, probablemente era la lancha y la vibración era el motor y yo en mi emoción pensé que era yo... la sonrisa no se me borraba. El inicio del viaje en la laguna marco un antes y un después, la energía, la vibra, las olas, todo era una combinación fantástica.
Ya luego de unos minutos en la lancha, estaba rodeada por manglares y agua... todos con unas formas únicas, en posiciones distintas que los mismos crean unos caminos para ingresar y dar recorridos internos. En esta oportunidad el recorrido fue directo, sin desvíos a rutas internas.
¡Otro deleite visual es esta vista! Corresponde a las "Tetas de María Guevara" uno de los cuatro y también califica como uno de los más importantes monumentos naturales de la isla de margarita. Se refieren a dos cerros gemelos haciendo alusión a una mujer, aunque algunos debaten que un cerro es más grande que otro.
Nunca he estado en la selva, pero, sin embargo, no tengo dudas que pueda llegar a verse así. Sin señal, sin contacto, solo agua. Y los manglares no lo suelen mejorar, de esta manera inspiran algo de miedo y como cereza del pastel puedo mencionar que nuestra embarcación empezó a fallar un poco.
Ya desde la proa del bote, podía observar como íbamos llegando a nuestro destino, y aunque parece contradictorio. Aun nos encontramos en la Isla Margarita, son 1020 km en total lo que mide toda la isla; sin embargo, nos tuvimos que trasladar internamente para llegar hasta el destino.
Bajo el mismo concepto se maneja el muelle, para desembarcar, aunque de este lado solo hay uno. También se encuentra vigilado y restringido por Inparques, de hecho manteniendo ciertas reglas dentro de ellas, no permiten el llevarse propiedades naturales del parque, como estrellas de mar y caballitos.
Algo que me encanto y pude detallar en este muelle, y ya en el resto de los manglares de regreso, es la formación rústica de ostras que en algún momento crecieron y murieron en el sitio. Creando esta ilusión tan bella en todas las bases del muelle. En esta parte de la laguna ya el agua no es verde, es un poco marrón quizás por el fango y los residuos naturales de la orilla.
Cuando por fin pise tierra, pude ser testigo de un animal impresionante. Eran unos cangrejos que tenían una pinza mucho y considerablemente más grande que la otra. Le suelen decir "Cangrejo violinista" y su habitad tradicional justamente es bajo las condiciones de los manglares, con fondos de fango o lodo.
Al llegar pase por unas ventas de accesorios de tejido, de moda, y hogar... si hogar como todos hechos con material de provecho cultivado en el mismo territorio. Dando muestra de la alta creatividad y formas de ingenio que mantienen las personas para generar ingresos.
Como por ejemplo los móviles hechos con las conchas marinas de ostras, caracoles, chipichipis y cualquier otro fruto del mar, como comente, increíble, conseguirle utilidad a un producto que para algunos puede llegar a ser desechables... para otros es materia prima.
Ya nuestro punto se llega, y de estadía temporal era a la orilla del mar en uno de estos restaurantes. Donde los platos principales son fruto del mar, pescado frito, camarones, pulpo, ostras. En resumen mi favorito...
Me parece impresionante la cantidad de ostras que había, y que, realmente, formaban el manto de arena en la orilla del mar. Muchos residuos de ostras picados muy pequeños, y de hecho podía hundir mis pies en ellos profundamente y aun había residuos, no toque arena, mis pies eran muy fáciles de limpiar.

Amo ese lugar con locura. Hace rato no voy porque el carro es tá medio fatal pero es un lugar del que tengo fotos a montones de lo mucho que lo visitamos. Toca ir para actualizar, porque los niños en las últimas fotos estaban pequeños.

Que bonito el viaje que hiciste y el lugar, la verdad me sentí viajando contigo pues tengo mas de 40 años que no visito Margarita. Me llamo la atención que todo esta impecable, limpiecito y también el agua. Ademas las lanchas se ven en muy buen estado y limpias, me alegra saber que el lugar se conserva, es una belleza.

Creo que los cerros si tienen diferentes tamaños pero no mucha diferencia, igual Maria Guevara creo que tampoco tendría sus senos perfectos y uno siempre es ligeramente más grande que otro XD.
