Male Macaroeris nidicolens

As we were walking near the Meuraksa estuary, Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia, I spotted a black jumping spider with white whiskers crawling on the shrub.

Identified as a male Macaroeris nidicolens, it is a small jumping spider belonging to the genus Macaroeris. The spider's characteristics show white spots on its back, abdomen, and legs. The species is distributed across Europe, Central Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
