Zeyve: A Day in the Heart of Nature

Hello everyone,
This weekend I wanted to go to a special place, a place visited by many tourists from different provinces and countries. The fragrance of the trees, the coolness of the water carried by the wind and the never-ending birdsong... I could use many descriptions to describe Zeyve. But if they asked me to describe it briefly, I would say it is the heart of nature!

I will tell you the important reason why it feels like the heart of nature in a moment, but first I would like to give you some general information about Zeyve.

Zeyve is located in one of the most beautiful districts of Turkey, Ermenek. Surrounded by the Taurus Mountains, this steep geography is full of different beauties. The snow waters descending from the high mountains into the valleys have added wonderful things to Zeyve. This is a fertile region. When you go to Zeyve, people are gathered where the water and trees grow. The products that grow naturally in the region are sold by the villagers in the market place. There are also many restaurants and picnic areas around the market place. Especially the fish grown in the trout production facilities are delicious.

You can see water flowing from every hill you look at in Zeyve. There are many large and small water sources. The sounds of water follow you step by step. And when you look up you see many trees in the sky. It is a great place to get your fill of green. This green umbrella provides a wonderful coolness even on the most scorching days.

Why the heart of nature in Zeyve? There are centuries-old plane trees here. These tree species stand out with their lifespan of nearly 1000 years. If we want to see a living history, plane trees can be our answer. With their thick trunks and majestic images, they have an all-encompassing, embracing appearance. When you are under them, you become a part of them without realizing it...

There are dozens of trees in Zeyve. The very old ones have their age written on them. I especially liked the plane tree by the river. It was 700 years old, an extraordinary tree.

Zeyve is 25 km from the town center. You go here on an asphalt, winding road. A magnificent lake view accompanies you along the way. Before reaching Zeyve, you feel the need to stop your car to enjoy these beauties. Especially the fountain heads with spring water are ideal for this.

When I left, I felt refreshed and different. I had learned something from the wisdom of the plane trees. Zeyve is not just a peaceful vacation spot; it is a teacher with the power to change your perspective on life...
