Journey: Beauties on Mountain Roads
The journey itself makes us happy, not the destination.
Dan Millman
It's been years since I stopped dreaming about my destination. Could it be the disappointments and defeats I've suffered? Maybe I've just grown up... Or something has changed.
This beautiful quote by Dan Millman summarized my philosophy of life. And it was not only about my goals. It has also been with me during my journeys.
I recently embarked on a journey where every moment was precious. I had good plans for my destination. Fresh air, lots of greenery and of course delicious food. Everything turned out as I had hoped. I was happy, but what made me happier was the road itself. I had to stop at breathtaking views on the roads I traveled... I had to!
We humans care about beauty. We have combs, gels, make-up for that. Mother nature must have an ornament too. I think it's flowers. I admire the beauty of the flowers that grow spontaneously in such places. During my break I looked around me, looking for them.
This road connects the district where I live with smaller settlements. The river you see feeds a large dam. The river bed flows through deep valleys to the water catchment area. There are many beautiful places like this on this flow route. This one is my favorite. If you look carefully at some of the photos you will notice how high up I am. I always like the view from the heights better. It makes me feel like an eagle dominating everything. The feeling of freedom is at its peak in such places.
At this stop of my journey, I was alone. But at other stops, someone stopped their car after me. They put aside their haste to see the end of the road. In those moments, I saw the victory on their faces. They understood that the road itself can be as beautiful as the end of the road. I hope they spread this to every aspect of life. True peace is here!
These pictures are so beautiful and the location is amazing. To think that you got to see all this just for free

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk, its my pleasure to host it and see all the posts each week from all around the world, including yours, if you have time visit some of the other walks this week there are so many interesting ones
Now I know most only post once a week using the Wednesday walk tag or community and I truly appreciate that and love visiting the posts so for most of you you can ignore the next sentence
I try and be nice and let people know via a comment to only post once a week, but some just abuse it and to me spam multiple posts a week, after asking nicely a few times and being ignored, this morning I regrettably had to mute a couple of people who were spamming the Wednesday walk tag
I'm glad you like it, thank you. I didn't know that the tag has to be used only once. I think I violated this rule. See you next week 😊
Most welcome, and many went they start use it more than once a week, and I generally then ask them to limit to once a week it sonly me supporting the community and if people post multiple times I will never be able to keep up
Yay! 🤗
