Viaje a la feria del libro (es/en)

Hola amigos de la comunidad Hive Cuba.

Hace mucho tiempo que no iba a la Habana, la capital de todos los cubanos.
El viernes 16 de febrero desperté muy temprano porque tenía una labor que realizar. Vale destacar que en un principio me sentí un poco mal porque la camarógrafa de Artv que iba conmigo se enfermó y no pudo ir, eso me disgustó porque ya el trabajo que iba a realizar no quedaría con la misma calidad. Además aunque desperte muy temprano, fue en vano porque la guagua salió más tarde de lo previsto, como suele suceder. Aunque me puse un poco indescisa respecto al viaje, si debía o no ir, al final me decidí y fue la mejor decisión.
A las ocho y treinta minutos ya estaba en el punto de recogida, un poco más tarde llegó la guagua y salí rumbo a mi destino que era El Morro Cabaña.

It has been a long time since I had been to Havana, the capital of all Cubans.
On Friday, February 16, I woke up very early because I had a job to do. It is worth noting that at first I felt a little bad because the Artv cameraman who was with me got sick and could not go, that upset me because the work I was going to do would not be with the same quality. Also, although I woke up very early, it was in vain because the bus left later than planned, as it usually happens. Although I was a little hesitant about the trip, whether I should go or not, in the end I made up my mind and it was the best decision.
At eight thirty minutes past eight I was already at the pick up point, a little later the bus arrived and I left for my destination which was El Morro Cabaña.

A la 32 Feria Internacional del Libro llegaron escritores artemiseños a exponer libros de la editorial Unicornio de la provincia donde vivo. Entre editores, escritores he intelectuales estaba yo ( en un momento me pregunté qué hacía allí entre esas personas) la verdad siempre es muy gratificante estar bien acompañada y esos escritores me hicieron sentir parte de ellos, por eso yo misma me respondí a mi interrigante, porque cada cual defiende lo que hace y yo estaba allí como periodista para hacer mi trabajo y eso ellos tambien lo admiraban como yo a ellos, cosa que me hace sentir bien.

At the 32nd International Book Fair, writers from Artemis came to exhibit books from the Unicornio publishing house in the province where I live. Among editors, writers and intellectuals was me (at one point I wondered what I was doing there among those people) the truth is always very gratifying to be well accompanied and those writers made me feel part of them, so I answered myself to my questioner, because everyone defends what he does and I was there as a journalist to do my job and they also admired him as I admired them, which makes me feel good.

Después de dar un pequeño recorrido y comer algo llegamos a la sala de presentaciones José A Portuondo para la presentación de los libros. Aprovecho la oportunidad para mencionarles algunos de los títulos que allí se presentaron, que aunque no los he leído imagino que valga la pena hacerlo y conocer a los autores artemiseños. Entre los que más me llamaron la atención están El gusto jugoso de la carne, Siete días sin Yrla y Mientras se enfría el café, entre otros.

After a short tour and a bite to eat we arrived at the José A Portuondo presentation room for the presentation of the books. I take this opportunity to mention some of the titles that were presented there, and although I have not read them, I imagine that it is worthwhile to do so and get to know the Artemisan authors. Among those that most caught my attention were El gusto jugoso de la carne, Siete días sin Yrla and Mientras se enfría el café, among others.

Al culminar la presentación de los libros, dimos otro recorrido por la feria y nos sentamos en una sombra para almorzar. Por suerte no fui la única en llevar el posuelito del almuerzo jajaja, hay que salir preparados. Hicimos una especie de pícnic y luego seguimos el recorrido.

At the end of the book presentation, we took another tour of the fair and sat down in the shade for lunch. Luckily I wasn't the only one to bring my lunch bag, hahaha, you have to be prepared. We had a sort of picnic and then continued our tour.

No concibo ir a la habana y no estar en el malecón, pues en esta ocación aunque no fue presisamente desde el malecón pude disfrutar del mar, sentir la brisa y el olor a agua salada, eso me encanta, ademas de poder apreciar una maravillosa vista desde el morro. Este fue el momento que más disfruté de mi viaje y por supuesto que aproveché para tomar unas lindas fotos.

I cannot conceive of going to Havana and not being on the Malecon, because on this occasion, although it was not exactly from the Malecon, I was able to enjoy the sea, feel the breeze and the smell of salt water, I love that, besides being able to appreciate a wonderful view from the hill. This was the moment I enjoyed the most of my trip and of course I took the opportunity to take some nice pictures.

Finalmente llegó la hora de regresar a casa pero con las pilas cargadas. Fue maravilloso sentir el olor a los libros recién editos he impresos, disfrutar de buena compañía, tomar aire fresco desde las alturas, apreciar las bellas vistas de la habana, el olor del mar y el hecho de estar ahí deslumbrada con todo eso como si fuera la primera vez.

Finally it was time to return home but with my batteries recharged. It was wonderful to feel the smell of the newly edited and printed books, enjoy good company, take fresh air from the heights, appreciate the beautiful views of Havana, the smell of the sea and the fact of being there dazzled with all that as if it was the first time.
