This 36.08 feet high lighthouse is located in Tierra Del Fuego, Ushuaia Argentina, more specifically in the Beagle Channel which is the natural separation (besides the Andes Mountains) between Argentina and Chile.

Ushuaia is the Land of the end of the world and together with my husband, we traveled there last week so I took the opportunity to take pictures of the beautiful landscapes it offered and I thought it was an excellent opportunity to venture into this community since I like to photograph landscapes even though I do not have a fully professional camera.

This lighthouse is located on one of the many islets in this channel and its name means "The explored". It is in French because those who named it were French in fact, several islands are named in French for the same reason.

It began to operate in 1920, emitting a light every 5 seconds, which we could not see since we went during the day, but we were told that at night it is very clear, as it should be to guide the boats.

This excursion is available for all visitors to the land at the end of the world and as expected, it is sold as the trip to the lighthouse at the end of the world (so called because it is the inspiration for the work of Jules Verne: "The lighthouse at the end of the world"). The truth is that this is not the lighthouse at the end of the world since Verne was referring rather to the lighthouse of San Juan De Salvamento dating from 1880 that has the style of a house. This lighthouse was hundreds of miles away from this lighthouse that you see in the pictures, therefore, there was no excursion to go there and that is why I did not take pictures of it, but let's appreciate the beauty of this lighthouse built of pure brick.

We went by Catamaran boat and it was really cold. I took him at various angles as the boat swung around him. I wanted to capture how cold it was because the temperatures were zero and when it was shaded by the lighthouse combined with the snowy mountain scenery gave the touch that makes you feel the cold when you see the photo.

I also liked the reflection of the lighthouse in the icy water. I saw it lonely in the middle of nowhere and the panorama gave me a certain nostalgia that I wanted to capture in photos and the silence was deafening. You could only hear the wind blowing in an icy way.

Look at that contrast between the photos with and without the sun. It's amazing how light can make you feel cold or hot when you see it. While those with more shadows, the bleak, desolate and cold landscape is enhanced, in those with sun, it is as if the lighthouse resurfaced and took more prominence, enhancing even more its beautiful white and red colors. I would have liked to see it at night but it was not possible due to the extreme temperatures.

I hope you liked my panoramic photos and soon I will bring more of this style. Thank you very much and best regards.

The man-made wonder of the lighthouse, mixed with the wonder of nature, is a masterpiece. Incredible views, I love it! I love lighthouses and the sea.

You can tell that the air there is purer, the photos came out very clean 😍

Buhito wants to climb the lighthouse and be king of the world jiji πŸ˜‚

I have Verne's book, do you want it? πŸ‘€

I like the way it looks without the sun, you can feel the cold air and the colors look better, although with the sun it also looks very nice πŸ‘€πŸ‘Œ

You don't want to lend me your books :c even if it's that one can I borrow it? please? hahaha Yes, the tone of the shadowed photo reflects the cold it was, I was shivering while taking the photos but I didn't care hahaha
