Today, in the afternoon, I went to a fountain about three kilometers from my house to fill up with water. Mains water is very bad for about a year. Let alone drinking, sometimes it smells so bad that one doesn't even want to wash their hands. That's why we always have to buy water from the market. I try to fill water from different fountains as much as I can. We tried water from many different places. Some of them were beautiful, but the water of a fountain is not always the same. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it tastes bad.

Bugün ikindin su doldurmak için evime yaklaşık üç kilometre uzaklıkta bir çeşmeye gittim. Yaklaşık bir yıldır şebeke suyu çok kötü. İçmek şöyle dursun, bazen o kadar kötü kokuyorki insan elini bile yıkamak istemiyor. Bu yüzden sürekli marketten su almak zorunda kalıyoruz. I just discovered the fountain I went to in the afternoon today. I filled water for the third time today. It's fine for now. There is no problem with taste and smell. When he waits, nothing sinks to the bottom of the can. The taste and smell of the water I filled from a fountain before was very good. However, when he waited, there was a yellow precipitate at the bottom of the jar. That's why I stopped taking water from there. Let's see how long I can continue with the fountain I just discovered. 😀

Bugün ikindin gittiğim çeşmeyi daha yeni keşfettim. Bugün üçüncü kez su doldurdum. Şimdilik gayet iyi. Tadında ve kokusunda bir problem yok. Beklediği zaman bidonun dibine çöken birşeyler olmuyor. Daha önce bir çeşmeden doldurduğum suyun tadı ve kokusu çok güzeldi. Ancak beklediği zaman bidonun dibinde sarı bir çökelti oluyordu. O yüzden oradan su almayı bırakmıştım. Bakalım yeni keşfettiğim çeşmeye ne kadar devam edeceğim. 😀

While filling water today, I remembered the times when I was a child, waiting in line at the fountain in the village. When I was a child, there was no water network in the village. There were fountains in several places. When it was afternoon, we would go to the fountain to fill the water to be used until the next day. As many people gathered around the fountains at the same time, we would queue up and wait. Especially during Ramadan, it would be more enjoyable to wait in line for water. The conversations there would be more enjoyable than ever. With the excitement of the food waiting for us at home, we would wait for the water to come as soon as possible. He would go to the house that finally got his water...

Bugün su doldururken aklıma çocukluğumda köyde çeşmede sıra beklediğim zamanlar geldi. Benim çocukluğumda köyde su şebekesi yoktu. Bir kaç yerde çeşme vardı. İkindi vakti olunca sonraki güne kadar kullanılacak olan suyu doldurabilmek için çeşmeye giderdik. Bir çok kişi aynı saatlerde çeşmelerin başına toplandığı için sıraya geçer ve beklerdik. Özellikle ramazan aylarında su sırası beklemek daha bir keyifli olurdu. Orada yapılan muhabbetler her zamankinden daha keyifli olurdu. Evde bizi bekleyen yemeklerin heyecanıyla bir an önce su doldurma sırası gelsin diye beklerdik. Nihayet suyunu alan evin yolunu tutardı...

Today, thinking about these memories, I filled the water and went home. I end my post by adding a few more photos I took around the fountain.
