Once upon a time, there lives a father and a lazy boy in a typical village called Irekpai meaning am not going back .this lazy boy father's name is called osami , meaning - prepare for hunger before its knocked at your door step. The Lazy boy's name is ,Azemobor , meaning leave me alone.
On day, the father said to to his lazy son,there is a letter sent to the community that hunger is coming soon , so let us be strong and carryout farming this year so that when the hunger comes no one shall suffer it in my household. The Lazy son replied his father that he wants to see the letter that hunger sent to the community before believing him. He said to him again , please son this is a serious matter , let us be going to farm to sustain the hunger letter post Announcement to the community. The boy refused because there was so much raw food stuffs is the kitchen/store to cook and eat in their house.
Day by day the father kept on telling his son about the letter and his son totally refused to believe the story. So, whenever his father, had gone to farm, the son will cook food in the store ,eat,bath, put on his, I swear to God Shoe, combed his hair and dressed up nice, going all about in the community wasting time in Bisi's palm wine joint .
To cut the story short,this boy didn't know that anything you have that you are taking out from without replenishing will be exhausted one day . So, a day came , all the food stuffs in the kitchen exhausted in the house . His father noticed all these and decided to go to farm , cooked and eat in the farm , drink natural stream water in the farm and returned so late from the farm on this particular day. When the lazy son returned home , his father was yet to return from farm , the boy went to the kitchen to find nothing at home to eat at this time , he started crying. The father asked him, son , what is the problem, the son reply hunger , the father said to him that is the hunger post Announcement I told you about. Now, read the letter very well.
The above story my late dad told me as a little child then before he died made me strong in life and to be very hard working in life. Hunger is not a friend to anyone.Even if you are a teacher for instance, without food you can't write or read well. Hunger is not a thing to play with. Always believe is the wisdom of the elders for what they see and tell you , as a little child growing up. You can't see what they are seeing, even when you are on top of a tree.No wonder the Bible says in 1 Timothy chapter 5 verse 8 "But if any provide not for his own,and especially for those of his of his own house,he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.Therefore , food is one of the basic necnessity of man.
