Macro Photography: Flower Fly, Polyrhachis dives and Leafhopper

I had been exploring the camera of my phone since last month because I badly want to join the Macroshot Photography contest of @photofeed but I didn't seem to find the right icon for macro shots. But I didn't lose hope until one morning as we're outside to catch the sunrise, I found the one I'm looking for. I tried it immediately with the butterfly I saw just beside to where we were sitting and these were the results.

The results weren't that clear. I'm a little bit disappointed with the result so I tried adjusting the settings to see if there would be some changes but the result was still the same, the shots were a little blurred compared to the previous phone that I used.

Without losing hope, I tried searching some camera applications in Google play store for a better Macro Photography. I downloaded five from the results ang tried them but only one had a better shot and it was the Magnifier and Microscope application. Here's the captured photos that I took using it. (Don't expect for best results as it's my first time using the application. Still exploring some features of it. If you have some suggestions, don't hesitate to comment below. Any suggestions on how to take better macro photography is highly appreciated)

FLOWER FLY

The first subject that I spotted is the flower fly. Since I was standing, I took a photo of its back first.

Then, I move the camera towards its face. I thought it would moved but it didn't. It just stayed to where it did rest even if I move closer to the leaves. Thanks for it's cooperation, I was able to took a better photo of its face.

Next photo was taken while I was kneeling at it's right side. With all the photos taken, this was what I like the most. The wings, it's body and its face looks so nice in this photo.

Polyrhachis dives

Within the area where I saw the flower fly, I spotted a Polyrhachis dives in the redflower ragleaf plant so I took photos of it. This isn't a clear photo but this shot is much better than using the already installed camera that my phone has. It may on the macro mode or pro mode, it can't even detect this small polyrhachis dives so I can't take a clear photo of it.

Then on the next stem of this Redflower Ragleaf, I saw a group of Polyrhachis dives. I don't know what exactly they were doing but as I observe they seemed like they are sipping this part of the plant.

LEAFHOPPER

I found this leafhopper resting on the leaves beside where I took photo of the flower fly but after taking my first shot of it, it flew to another leaf and seems like it's hiding from me.

It's body was hiding behind the leaf and its face was the only part that I can see on where I stand from enough for it to see where I was. It might be thinking that I would catch him that's why it did hid itself under the leaves.

As I moved closer, it transferred again to another left opposite to where it hid. I could see it's entire body so I captured it before it would fly away again.

These are the results after using the Magnifier and Microscope Application. For me, it's better than the camera I had in my phone. Though the other results weren't as clear as I had with the flower fly, I know someday I will learn how to capture things better than today.

This will be all for now. Thanks for reading, guys!

See you on my next blogs!
