Spring Is Coming

It's freezing cold right now, but we're definitely starting to move into Spring weather. On my walk yesterday the weather fluctuated between a clear blue sky day, even if cold still, and a cloudy dark day - as if about to rain/snow. This is characteristic of the time winter starts to change to spring. It's a bit early, but the signs are there.

Of course the days are also a lot longer now. Just a month ago, I would have been walking in total darkness - especially through the park where there are no lights about. Talking of which, I like that I can catch some sunsets now - or at least when the sun is low. It makes for some interesting photos. I particularly love catching silhouettes. The trees are only just starting to bud now, so they still have that skeletal (leafless) look that always looks amazing as a silhouette.

Peace & Love,

That tree is lovely. I agree now is the time to photograph trees, they look so fascinating at this time of year. We've got snowdrops and daffodils aplenty around here and I have seen some crocus flowers in places. The hawthorn along the little lane near us is starting to burst into blossom.

Spring is definitely on its way to us! I also love that the days are getting longer and longer. I get to see the daylight even if I leave work later than my finish time. Love it 💙

That's always a good feeling. I remember those days when I used to walk home after work in the dark.

What a beautiful shot of that tree. I love plants and love their life cycle. I'm so glad that Spring is almost here. Where I'm at, the days are actually getting pretty hot and it's only the beginning of March! I hope Summer isn't too hot.

Oh I couldn’t! I was born and raised in the south. I’ve only seen snow a handful of times in my life.
