Mayfaire |Beautiful London neighbourhood

It had been aaaaages since I last walked through this area of London. So much so that I felt a little lost and disoriented when I ended up there the other day. It was a beautiful day, and I wasn't in a hurry, so I was more than happy to feel my way around slowly around this gorgeous up-market neighbourhood of London. Located between Hyde Park and Soho, it's one of London's wealthiest neighbourhood. Very well dressed people, very nice cars, designer shops, unaffordable hotels and posh restaurants litter the whole place.

Mayfair got it's name from the fair that happened in May back in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was a two-week long springtime festival which sadly doesn't happen anymore. One could say there's a festival of opulence there everyday nowadays.

I spend some time there admiring the two art galleries I found. Some of hit had some memorial stuff to her late majesty. I can only imagine how many hundreds of thousands, if not millions, that kind of work would fetch.

There are also a lot of not so expensive things to do in the area such as cafes, bars and pubs. One could enjoy a nice meal in one of those but avoid the high price one would play in a traditional Mayfair restaurant.
