Easter walk with the Helios-44-2

Happy Easter!
I had some downtime over the weekend so I got my old Helios-44-2 lens out of storage, adapted it to my mirrorless camera, and took it out for a spin. The weather has improved lately, even if a little windy, so the light was good and the temperature was pleasant.
I got a few nice shots of the spring time vibes but was particularly glad to see some “yarn bombs” in my hood similar to the one I saw at my cousins. I had no idea this stuff was a thing until it was pointed out to me by @shanibeer in this post.
Currently typing this in a very busy pub. It’s bank holiday Monday (Easter Monday) and all the kids are off school so they’re all here with their parents having lunch I guess :)
Peace & Love

Yes the helios is hyped up crazy but the people are right - it is my favorite lens. The bokeh and creamy look are just yummy! I loooove to use it even though the manual focus is hard to manage for video work haha
"creamy bokeh" is such a photographer thing to say 😂. yes that swirly bokeh is why they're so loved now by video makes actually. Ironically this was seen as a flaw back in the day. Ironic times. :)
I did not say "creamy bokeh" - I was able to avoid that in my comment lol xD I mean next to the nice bokeh I like the creamy/soft look which also is a flaw on pixel peeping people. I just love it :D
haha. "pixel peeping". bro you're sooo deep into the scene 😂
I know what you mean 🙏
Cute yarn bombs!
I love the Easter holidays (or any school holidays), A6 London Road had virtually no traffic at 2pm last Monday. Perfect!
Hope you're okay, be good to see you soon ❤️
Happy Easter 🐇
It was such a nice quiet long weekend. The noise is returning though.
Thank you and hopefully soon 🙏
It finally feels like spring is finally here!
Have you seen the new post boxes with solar panels in top? We have a few of them here, and it's a pity because they can't put any toppers on anymore
I've seen them yes! I hope they never take these post boxes away. I know people are sending fewer physical mail these days but they're still quite cool.
