Christmas Preparations In Lisbon

I can imagine it doesn't feel that Christmasy in Lisbon on Christmas, but they try their best I can see. When thee decorations were well underway, albeit slightly behind that of the UK, but well underway. Many of the shops in the centre have already put up their lights and ornaments. Even many hotels are completely covered with lights externally. I could only imagine what the interiors were like.

One of the landmark Christmas trees has been installed on top of the entrance of the Armazéns do Chiado, a stylish shopping centre featuring dozens of stores, food courts and even a hotel! What's cool about that tree is that it's on the wall of the complex, above the entrance. Dude to the undulating nature of the city, while standing dead on looking at the tree on R. Nova do Almada, it looks as though it's on the ground. This only works well in a city like Lisbon because of it's unique topography.

The brand "Nickolaus", of which I also noticed a shop, appears to be playing a major role in getting Lisbon ready for Christmas. They have their logo all over the Christmas market kiosks being put up at the King Pedro IV Square. I can imagine that would be quite magical once completed - something similar to what happens to Trafalgar Square over here.

Even the little narrow residential paths have their own little decorations thrown up. It's the cutest thing ever.

I haven't been to town since getting back from Lisbon so I haven't seen any of the Christmas stuff yet. Winter Wonderland is usually already open around this time of year. I haven't been there in a while. I think they changed it up a bit. Besides, it's no longer the only place to experience the Christmas market in London as it used to be back in the day. I'm sure we will have one near where I live too. They've been such a big hit over the years that every city in the UK has them now, and in multiple locations per city. Heck, there are people that have them in their backyards nowadays :)

Peace & Love,

Adé

Christmas is coming and the expenses are getting bigger, the only sad thing is that a good Christmas can mostly be judged only by how big the wallet is :)) ... I know it is bad thing to think so :)) .... but I have not built this banking world, but I am trying to do something simple so this bad ideas not get in head so lot :))

I can see that so many people are prepping for Christmas
Actually, I can’t wait for that time of the year too
I just dislike to buy things during that period because of expenses

I've agreed with my friends and family that "no Christmas presents this year" haha. We all save some money.

I see a lot of posts, everyone is busy decorating. The event is huge. The good thing is that everyone gets a chance to meet each other.

That's the most important part - the time together with loved ones.
