Autumn flowers & fungi - Braving potential bad weather πΊπ
Autumn Flowers & Fungi πΊπ
We don't have the storm down here, Storm Babet I mean, wrecking havoc like it's doing up north, but it did threaten to downpour heavily. It never did happen, but I was determined to head out today regardless. It did drizzle a bit but that's fine, I'm used to a bit of rain here in England. I only hope the people up north are keeping safe. The pictures we're seeing are pretty extreme. I hope it's the media exaggerating things, as usual, and things aren't actually that bad.
The cafe at the park was closed today, and I suspected it was going to be closed, so I took my own coffee. I've been using my flask a lot more these days. I got it years ago from Asda, but abandoned it for whatever reason. I think me buying the mini press kicked off my interest in using it again. I like to support the park cafe though since the people working there are volunteers. All the proceeds go to maintaining the park - keeping in clean, mowing, wildlife care, etc
Talking of wildlife, all the baby birds I saw in the beginning of Spring have grown now. Most of them are the same size as their parents even though they've still got the baby colour haha. The park was particularly calm and quiet today since people were expecting bad weather. When the park is this quiet, people with larger dogs; Alsatians, Mastiffs and the like, bring them out to run around. For some reason, I didn't mind them today. One even ran close to me and showed a little interest in me and my cameraphone haha. I didn't take a photo of it though. I didn't want to encourage an interaction.
The autumn flowers are blooming beautifully. The park has a horticulture team so they are planted first in a green house and transplanted I think. Otherwise, I don't understand how else flowers can bloom this late. The bees don't seem to mind though. They were out in their numbers buzzing from flower to flower, doing their own part in the perpetuation of both species.
The mushrooms are also out. Sadly I now nothing of them. I can't tell food from poison. I know a few people from mainland Europe who are experts at picking mushrooms. I've been out there in Poland and the Czech Republic with them and went picking mushrooms that we actually had for dinner. It's great knowledge to have. When the Apocalypse comes, fungi will be one of the only species of food that will survive :)
Peace & Love,

So should we say that Autumn comes with growth of more flowers, fungi and also mushrooms
A friend said this though but I did not confirm
I don't think there is any autumn season here
Flowers mostly grow in spring and early summer. Usually fruits are growing more around summer and autumn. Mushrooms usually come out whenever they want π
Really beautiful photos, congratulations my friend, nice post, have a great day, best regards πππ
