Finally, we've reached the last month of the year, and although I've experienced bittersweet moments during the first 10 months of it, I can say that November was like a very enjoyable ride, undoubtedly the best month of my year so far. Those thirty days seemed endless, but I practically enjoyed every moment, something that hasn't happened in a long time, and I'm quite happy that this month was filled with good things.

The month began with the celebration of Day of the Dead, a very important date in the country where I live. Even though I'm not originally from Mexico, it's a tradition I've adopted and come to appreciate. During that week and the following one, I enjoyed delicious dishes that I prepared for the occasion, including Dulce de Calabaza en Tacha and the traditional and delicious Pan de Muerto. The days were very calm, as there were almost a week of non-working holidays, allowing us to be at home and spend time together as a family.

After the calm and serenity of the first weeks, the chaos of the Buen Fin and Black Friday followed. Many are already familiar with the latter, so I'll just say that Buen Fin is a similar event that takes place in Mexico usually on the third weekend of November, with numerous offers in almost all stores in the country, even online. During that weekend, we took the opportunity to renew Leo's wardrobe, as being a little boy, we have to change practically all his clothes every year due to growth. That took up practically the entire Saturday. I also took the chance to buy a few things for myself, in advance of the purchase of Christmas and Three Kings' Day gifts. How can one not love a month when half of the days are dedicated to shopping?

The penultimate week of the month was also very busy, as I dedicated myself to cleaning and painting the house to put up Christmas decorations. Despite not being too festive, I love Christmas… Vacations, delicious food, cold weather, gifts, beautiful decorations, and family time make the holiday season my favorite. So, my Christmas decoration is already set up, though it's simple. As I enjoy all decorations in general, I take great pleasure in putting it up and especially seeing the happiness on Leo's face every time we turn on the Christmas tree lights.

Among all the good things that happened this month, I think the best was welcoming a new baby... A lovely Nintendo Switch, hahaha. Taking advantage of discounts and promotions from a major department store in Mexico, we finally got this console. Although we know it's been on the market for several years, we've loved it and had a great time buying accessories and games. It was an early Christmas gift for all three of us, because even Leo, who is still little, is excited about it.

Now, we just have to wait and see what the last month of the year has in store for us. I hope it's as positive as November, so we can close out 2023 well and start 2024 in a fantastic way.

Compras y una Nueva Bebé | Mi Noviembre en Fotos

Por fin llegamos al último mes del año, y aunque he vividos momentos agridulces durante los primeros 10 meses de este, puedo decir que noviembre fue como un paseo muy divertido, sin duda el mejor mes de mi año, hasta ahora. Fueron treinta días que me parecieron eternos, pero disfruté prácticamente de todos ellos, algo que no me pasaba desde hace mucho tiempo y estoy bastante contenta de que este mes haya estado lleno de cosas buenas.

El mes comenzó con el festejo del Día de Muertos, una fecha muy importante en el país en el que vivo, y aunque no soy originaria de México, ya es una tradición que he adoptado y he aprendido a valorar. Durante esa semana y la siguiente disfruté de deliciosos platillos que preparé para la ocasión, entre ellos están un Dulce de Calabaza en Tacha, además del tradicional y riquísimo Pan de Muerto. Fueron días muy tranquilos, ya que además dieron como festivos no laborables casi una semana, así que pudimos estar todos en casa y pasar tiempo juntos en familia.

Luego de la calma y serenidad de las primeras semanas, vino el desastre y la locura del Buen Fin y el Black Friday. Muchos ya están familiarizados con el segundo, así que solo les diré que el Buen Fin es algo similar que se realiza en México normalmente el tercer fin de semana de noviembre, en el cual hay muchísimas ofertas en prácticamente todas las tiendas del país, incluso en línea. Durante ese fin de semana aprovechamos para hacer la renovación de ropa de Leo, quien al ser un niño pequeño, cada año debemos cambiar prácticamente toda su ropa debido al crecimiento. Eso se llevó prácticamente todo un sábado. También aproveché para comprarme unas cuantas cosillas, adelantar la compra de los regalos de Navidad y de Reyes. ¿Cómo no amar un mes en el que la mitad de los días fue para hacer compras?

La penúltima semana del mes fue también de mucho trabajo, ya que me dediqué a limpiar y a pintar la casa para colocar los adornos navideños. A pesar de que no soy una persona demasiado festiva, amo la Navidad… Vacaciones, comida deliciosa, frío, regalos, decoraciones hermosas y tiempo en familia hacen que las fechas decembrinas sean mis favoritas, así que ya está lista mi decoración navideña, aunque es sencilla, como me gusta toda la decoración en general, disfruto mucho colocarla y sobre todo ver la cara de felicidad de Leo cada vez que encendemos las luces del árbol de navidad.

Dentro de todo lo bueno que sucedió este mes, creo que lo mejor fue que recibimos a una nueva bebé… Una preciosa Nintendo Switch, jajajaja. Aprovechando los descuentos y las promociones de una tienda departamental muy importante en México, por fin nos hicimos de esta consola, que aunque sabemos que ya tiene varios años en el mercado, a nosotros nos ha encantado y la hemos pasado bastante bien comprándole cositas y jueguitos. Fue un regalo de Navidad adelantado para los tres, porque incluso Leo, que aún está pequeño, se encuentra emocionado con ella.

Ahora solo falta esperar que nos prepara el último mes del año. Espero que sea tan positivo como noviembre, para así poder cerrar bien el 2023 y comenzar de manera estupenda el 2024.
