Last week I showed you the beautiful cactus I bought, and as you may remember it came with a prize, because it had a lot of babies that were actually pushing it out of the ground, that's why it looks like a leaning tower, being such a nice cactus and having children as I mentioned, I wanted to remove them from there, to have more than one.

Now, as I also mentioned last week, I have a co-worker who is a plant lover and he mentioned to me that he wanted some children from the cactus, so we agreed to investigate how to remove the baby cactus without harming the mother, I confess that I did not investigate anything and left everything in the hands of this co-worker whose name is Cesar.

Fortunately, he is very accomplished and interested in the well being of the plants, so I did my research and on Monday he came to the office with an exact and soil in a container of Chinese rice, I had my doubts about how the process of removing the babies would be, but with sincerity he told you that it was something very neat and accurate, plus my friend has an amazing ability for crafts and that helps him to perform certain activities in a more neat and tidy way.

I apologize again because I was so stunned and excited watching the process of removing the baby cactus that were in the pot, that I completely forgot to take any pictures that would let you see a little bit of the process and since I am also learning more about gardening, I decided to pay as much attention as possible.

As you can see the big cactus had 8 children of which six were left to my friend, which will be divided between him and other co-workers and I was left with two that were detached from their mother on Tuesday and on Wednesday I placed each one in a pot, now I am taking care of them so that they adapt to their new space and grow, also according to the research of my friend Cesar the first three days after transplanted should not be watered.

Finally I present a new cactus, this is what we could call an inheritance from my friend @brujita18, who yesterday received the surprise that she will be retired, so without thinking much I asked her for the cactus and although she protested a little bit she accepted, so there you can see some pictures of the children in their new spaces, the new cactus and my previous cactus.

As you can see this week I returned to the office the big cactus that I had transplanted, now you can say that I have a nursery of cactus, I still have the doubt if I should bring one of those three home or if I should leave the three in the office because I think that where they are now they look a little cramped or crowded, what do you think?

La semana pasada les mostré el bello cactus que compré, y como recordarán vino premiado, pues tenía un montón de bebés que de hecho estaban empujándolo fuera de la tierra, por eso él luce inclinado cual la torre de pisa, al ser un cactus tan lindo y tener hijos como les comente, quería retirarlos de allí, para tener más de uno.

Ahora bien, como también les mencioné la semana pasada, tengo un compañero de trabajo que es amante de las plantas y él me menciono que quería unos hijos del cactus, así que quedamos en investigar cómo retirar los cactus bebés sin dañar a la madre, confieso que no investigue nada y deje todo en manos de este compañero de trabajo cuyo nombre es Cesar.

Afortunadamente, él es cumplido y le interesa el bienestar de las plantas, así que investigo y el lunes llegó a la oficina con un exacto y tierra en un envase de arroz chino, yo tenía mis dudas de como sería el proceso de retiro de los bebés, pero con sinceridad les comentó que fue algo muy pulcro y exacto, además de que mi amigo tiene una habilidad sorprendente para las manualidades y eso le ayuda a realizar de manera más pulcra ciertas actividades.

Vuelvo a disculparme porque estaba tan anonadada y emocionada viendo el proceso de retirar los cactus bebés que estaban en la maceta, que olvidé por completo tomar alguna fotografía que dejara ver un poco el proceso y como yo también estoy aprendiendo más de jardinería, decidí prestar toda la atención posible.

Como pueden ver el cactus grande tenía 8 hijos de los cuales seis se los deje a mi amigo, los cuales se repartirán entre él y otros compañeros de trabajo y yo me quedé con dos que desprendidos de su madre el martes y ya el día miércoles coloque a cada uno en una maceta, ahora les estoy cuidando para que se adapten a su nuevo espacio y crezcan, además de que de acuerdo a la investigación de mi amigo Cesar los primeros tres días luego de trasplantados no se le debe regar.

Por último les presento un nuevo cactus, este es lo que podríamos llamar una herencia de parte de mi amiga @brujita18, que ayer recibió la sorpresa de que será jubilada, así que sin pensarlo mucho le pedí el cactus y ella aunque protestó un poquito acepto, así que allí pueden ver algunas imágenes de los hijos en sus nuevos espacios, el nuevo cactus y del mi cactus anterior.

Como verán esta semana devolví a la oficina el cactus grande que había trasplantado, ahora se puede decir que tengo una guardería de cactus, me queda la duda de si debo traer uno de esos tres a casa o si dejar los tres en la oficina porque creo que donde están ahora se ven un poco apretados o apiñados ¿qué opinan ustedes?

En resumen, vi de primera mano cómo se retira de manera correcta un bebé cactus y la manera adecuada de sembrarlo y tratarlo los primeros días, ahora debo esperar a ver si ambos bebés prosperan, sería algo maravilloso para mí, recuerden que para ustedes que amablemente tomaron unos minutos de su tiempo para leerme están en libertad de dejar sus impresiones en el cajón de comentarios.
