Materializing part of my mother's dreams makes me happy, it is a way to keep her present, because she loved to spend hours in her garden, planting plants, transplanting them, nourishing her compost, she was, I think a little surprised to see me so fully involved in gardening, I had my plants and was attentive to their needs, but now it is something more passionate, plus I feel it is a duty, nice to take care of something she loved so much.

So, with the greatest willingness to make at least part of her dream come true, I planted two cretona plants in the gardens, one with corrugated and colored leaves, the other with violet leaves, one of them already looks more adapted to the environment, the other, the last one looks a little duller, of course I planted or transplanted it to the ground on Saturday and it is likely that it is adapting.

These cretonas grow by stems or branches, you can cut one, place it in water and when you notice that it has roots, you can either plant it where it will be definitively or you can plant it in a temporary container and when it looks stronger or full of leaves and branches you can transplant it.

The latter was what I did with this pair of plants, they were first in improvised plastic containers for a while and when I realized that they were already in optimal conditions, that is to say, they looked alive and had given more leaves and branches, I decided to transplant them to the garden.

As you can see in the pictures, there are cretonne plants that I transplanted and also one that I just planted in soil, because it was tied in water, in a plastic container, with the hope that the nutrients of the soil will give it new life, because it looks very sad and dull, so I think I can plant more plants of this type in the gardens, I love their colors and well pruned they look very nice.

On the other hand, it is important to point out that these plants can receive sun, but not in excess, because that discolors its leaves and dries them, it is not good to water them in excess, but it should not be left without watering for long periods or it will die of thirst, in short it is a plant that needs a balance of sun and water.

In summary you can see the two plants that I already planted and the ones that are still in plastic pots to plant in the next weeks, I say goodbye hoping that your gardens are beautiful and that your work on them is paying off.

Materializar parte de los sueños de mi madre me hace feliz, es una forma de mantenerla presente, pues ella amaba pasar horas en su jardín, sembrando plantas, trasplantándolas, nutriendo su compost, ella estuviera, creo que un poco extrañada de verme tan de lleno en la jardinería, yo tenía mis plantas y estaba atenta, a las necesidades de estas, pero ahora es algo más apasionado, además de que siento que es un deber, agradable encargarme de algo que ella tanto amó.

Así, con la mayor disposición de hacer al menos parte de su sueño realidad, sembré en los jardines dos plantas de cretona, una de hojas como corrugadas y de colores, la otra de hojas color violeta, una de ellas ya se ve más adaptada el ambiente, la otra, la última luce un poco más apagada, claro está la sembré o trasplante al terreno el día sábado y es probable que se esté adaptando.

Estas cretonas prenden por tallos o ramas, se puede cortar una, se coloca en agua y en lo que se note que tienen raíz, se puede o sembrar donde va a estar de manera definitiva o se puede sembrar en un envase temporal y cuando se le vea más fuerte o llena de hojas y ramas se le trasplanta.

Esto último fue lo que hice con este par de plantas, ellas estuvieron primero un tiempo en envases de plástico improvisados y cuando me percate de que ya estaban en condiciones óptimas, es decir, se veían con vida y habían dado más hojas y ramas, me decidí a trasplantarlas al jardín.

Como pueden apreciar en las fotografías, hay plantas de cretona que trasplante y también de una que acabo de sembrar en tierra, pues ataba en agua, en un envase plástico, con la esperanza de que los nutrientes de la tierra le den nuevos bríos, ya que luce muy triste y apagada, de ese modo creo que podré sembrar más plantas de este tipo en los jardines me encantan sus colores y bien podadas lucen muy bonitas.

Por otro lado, es importante señalar que estas plantas pueden recibir sol, pero no en exceso, porque eso decolora sus hojas y las seca, tampoco no es bueno regarlas en exceso, pero tampoco debe dejarse de regar por largos periodos o morirá de sed, en pocas palabras es una planta que necesita equilibrio de sol y agua.

En resumen pueden ver las dos plantas que ya sembré y las que todavía están en macetas de plástico para sembrar en próximas semanas, me despido esperando que sus jardines sus esté hermoso y que su trabajo en ellos está rindiendo frutos.
