Nuevo: My Home, My Paradise!

The world is too beautiful not to be explored! But what if, you've been exploring for a while yet nothing satisfied you? Hmmm....

Hi Hivers and the beautiful community of @world mappin welcome to Nuevo. I've been traveling to different places since I started studying in college. Different cities, adventures and nature tripping but none of those satisfied my "inner Dora spirit". That's why I always choose to come home. Embracing slow paced living away from the noise of the city but definitely close to nature.

Today, I got the chance to go home to my hometown while enjoying its comfort and tranquility. As a result, I woke up late, around 7:00 in the morning, and definitely got mesmerized by my window view. It was wonderful, serene and so vibrant. Sunrise was undeniably beautiful, complemented by cooler air brought by "Ber" months. Back in the days, I found it as a normal view in the countryside but, today is absolutely different! My house is situated in front of the river.

Anyway, welcome to Nuevo! My paradise and my safe heaven. Located in the lowlands of Mindanao! Surrounded with streams, bushes and rainforest. Nature is well preserved! It is also culturally rich and abundant though it's very far from the business center, people manage to make a living through farming, fishing and livestock farming.

This time, I'm gonna tour you around my humble hometown's famous river, The Maasam River. I usually swim here with my friends or family members all day long while enjoying its crystal clear water. Something, that I'm very proud of. It is indeed, well-preserved. I also wash my clothes here, while enjoying a family picnic since it is just 20 meters away from my home. Also, during the summer season, a lot of people visit here for fun and photo ops . Groups of teenagers also conduct annual volleyball and badminton competition here that brings joy and excitement to everyone. Aside from being a tourist attraction, Maasam is also a good place for fishing. It offers a variety of fish and fresh water shrimps. Country life has never been easy, but it can be fun and meaningful.

Next, the cornfield.
The most important part of our hometown. I grew up seeing and working here. It's one of my favorite places to visit with. But before reaching this place, you have to walk past the river. A little bit challenging but worth trying adventure. Anyway, aside from enjoying the field, I also cook for lunch during the planting season. Mostly, during the months of March and July where my grandparents mango tree is most fruitful. As a result, I cook food while eating green mangoes in front of an amazing view. Moreover, when, corn turns green, I usually harvest some of it and cook for family consumption. Then, when it's totally mature, I will prepare it for the harvest season where I need to rent a harvester machine to get things done quickly.

Now, let's go to the Iconic Hanging Bridge!
A place where I usually go for sunset viewing. It gives me a 360 degree view of the entire town. From the grassland, cornfield, forest, hillside to clear water of Maasam. I also enjoy watching the moonlight here creating shadows of the coconut trees near the river.

This is the only place that satisfies me the most. A place where real tranquility exists. Just pure bliss, where nature and humans co-exist. A place I can proudly share, where skies are still in pastel colors. Once again, welcome to Nuevo, my paradise and my safe haven!
