The Heat is Here...

We've had up to 37 degrees Celsius in this part of the world at noon today, and it ain't even July according to the good old calendar. What's July gonna bring us, over 40?

Despite the heat, I had to drive with my father to a city about 100 km away from our town for him to sort out some pension paperwork. Romania is so damn shitty when it comes to bureaucracy—you gotta hit up a ton of institutions before you get anything done.

While waiting for him, I took a walk in the city center where we went for his paperwork. The heat kept me from staying out too long, but I still managed to snap a few pics here and there.

The architecture of the old buildings, some of which have been renovated, definitely shows influences from the Austro-Hungarian empire—no doubt about it.

I wouldn't call it a touristy city, but it's pretty clean and cozy all the same.

We didn’t stick around long, though. After he wrapped up the paperwork, we hit a restaurant, grabbed some refreshments, and then drove back so I could make it to the gym in time. It’s tough hitting the gym these days with all this heat, but I can’t live without it either...
