The Christmas Meltdown

We're three days away from Christmas and this is probably the fifth year in a row that we have a "dry Christmas"... and it kind of sucks, cuz half the joy around Christmas, from back when I was a kid was snow... Now, it's more about gifts, shiny stuff, and bragging about it on social media.
Christmas is more of a business than a holiday lately and I guess it was all planned for centuries... I would blame Charles Dickens for that and here's why...
The modern commercialization of Christmas can be traced back to the 19th century, when the Victorian era saw a rise in the celebration of the holiday. This was due in part to the increased wealth and prosperity of the time, as well as the influence of Charles Dickens' holiday classic "A Christmas Carol," which helped to popularize the idea of gift-giving and charitable acts during the holiday season.
This is the answer I got from the chatbot AI when questioned "him" when did Christmas become a business. Funny, right? While we're so much on a chase right now for the perfect gift for Christmas we're gradually sidetracking from the true meaning of this Holiday, which doesn't necessarily have to be religious.
Joy should not reside in material things... That's it. That was the post. Have a great day and see ya later alligator.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

A good post. Merry Christmas and happy holidays
Thanks. Wish you the same!
Hello @acesontop we had an icestorm yesterday and last night instead of snow which was very disappointing. I'm sorry you have only a little bit of melting snow. Maybe we will get some big snow next month!
Yes Christmas is about what is in the heart, love, and caring.
